Gina Lee's dinner and a movie idea got me thinking about food and sex movies...my search on the Internet turned up four... in Hilary Magazine

Like Water for Chocolate

(both the book and the movie were great...)

Eat, Drink, Man, Woman (heard about it but haven't seen it)

Big Night (haven't seen it... summary:

(When Italian immigrants poured into the United States in the 1950s, the American love affair with Italian food was born. That love affair would make the fortunes of some and break the hearts of others)

Dinner Rush... sounds like mostly food from the summary...

Anyone else have any recommendations?

Yo Darius:

The movie BIG NIGHT is an absolute joy. An independent production, this was one of the very few movies that genuinely left me speechless while I savored the final 10 minutes of the movie. Strange reaction, but the couple of friends who were with me who are usually as animated as I am, were equally impacted by the range of emotions cinematographically portrayed with minimal audio. DON'T MISS IT!!!

Dinner Rush is a hoot. Liked it better than Big Night - which has the great Tony Shaloub. Cook,Thief, etc etc might be a bit gruesome for some tastes. French movie from 2000 called Vatel with Gerard Depardieu in which he plays a caterer to Louis XIV. Amazing food scenes.

A galaxy far far away
Who's Killing The Great Chefs of Europe

Movie from the '70's
Jacquline Bisset played a promiscuous pastry chef, with a tendency to get herself into sticky situations with her culinary colleagues.
Ahh, just thee and me and a creme brulee (yeah, I know it don't rhyme)
