Chick took a greyhound bus out of Georgia a few days before she was to wed in a 500 guest 28 attendant affair. She called 911 & claimed she was kidnapped. After police found her in N. Mexico, her story quickly unraveled as a fake.

I feel sorry for her fiance, the poor bastard. How humiliating for his face & name to be plastered everywhere as the groom from which someone would go to such elaborate lengths to get out of marrying!

Isn't this kind of story supposed to originate in Florida? I'm confused....

Did you hear the interview they did with the guy early this morning.

He said there were 2 possible outcomes and either of them were acceptable to him.

She would be in heaven or she was alive and would return safe.

Excuuuuuuuuse me???????????? I hope it was just the stress talking and he did not really understand what he said.

I'm sure she'll face serious fines & restitution to all the law enforcement agencies that were searching for her, to recover their expenses.

The fiance is better off for knowing what a psycho she is up front.
If she changes her mind & decides to marry him after all, HE should make a run for it!

She said she "needed some time alone".
Guys, I hope you're listening. If anyone does take up with her after this, he's going in with full knowledge of this crazy bitch. He deserves what he gets for being so stupid!

I believe she has some serious problems, but she did nothing illegal except for the phone call she made this morning claiming she was kidnapped and the Albuquerque authorities have already said they do not plan to press charges. Up to that point she decided just to leave and not tell anyone where she was going. There is nothing criminal about that.

I think she made some very dumb choices. I think she will make authorities wait longer the next time a "real" abduction of a young woman occurs. Based on the information given by the media (and we all know how reliable that is), there is no crime.

According to CNN, wedding is "postponed".

Fiance "can't wait to see her".

Yeah I'll bet.

If I were in his shoes, I couldn't wait to get my hands on her, either.

If they ever do get married and I was the guy, I'd use this to make her feel guilty all her life and get her to do what ever I wanted. :D

DWB - I think you may have nailed it. Her first stop was Vegas which supports your theory "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". Second her whole family was in town for the wedding. Being this was Georgia, the likey suspect would be her cousin.

Lack of initial arrest means nothing

The ultimate authority as to whether to press charges is the district attorney, not the cops. And they are seriously considering charges of filing a false report, punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

And she thought she had problems before the wedding...

Another thing, how many actually believe the wedding is "still on"

You'd better believe I'd get paid!

"Will be interesting to see how many vendors (florist, country club where they were hosting the wedding, priest/rabbi, photographer, etc) are going to fuck them over and recharge them for services since they missed the first date."

The rabbis I know who do weddings do not accept payment. They do request that a donation be made to a worthy charity.

I used to play music for weddings. You're damn right I always expected to get paid if it's canceled on 3 days' notice. I turned down other (perhaps even better-paying) offers & kept the date open for months. Chances are slim I'd be able to find a substitute gig on short notice.
And were they to ask me to play for the 2nd attempt, I'd do it at a good discount, but they wouldn't get it for free, that's for sure.

I heartily agree that it's vulgar how much is spent on a wedding. People go into debt for years for that shit! Chicks have been planning theirs since age 5, drawing from Anglophilic royal crap, fairy tales, & soap operas. Also, what kids spend on prom night these days is out of proportion, a complete waste.

I heard an MD who's an addiction medicine specialist say that she's either a meth-head or bipolar.

A one-hour session with her would probably involve alternate fits of crying, maniacal laughter, death threats, & promises of eternal love...rinse, lather, & repeat.

I heard she's a nurse, & they tend to be from f'd up families....usually alcoholism, drug addiction by one or both parents, throw in some physical/sexual abuse...got yer perfect caregiver!
