Cruising the streets....

There was an article in the Sun monday about meth, and how the number of street walkers have risen. So true, not necessarily good if you have ever seen addicts. Regardless, decided to spend a mellow monday cruising around just to check out the sights. It has been awhile since I have done a serious cruise, decided to see if there were indeed more girls out. It was a holiday, and about 4 p.m.

Did 124st first. Around 118-111 ave there were 2 girls out. Nothing great. One older woman, and one younger one about a block away who was half decent, but very hard looking.

Did 107 ave, nothing out at all. Did 95 st, nothing there either. Went down 118 ave. towards beverly, nothing again! Turned around in Rundle Park, went back up 118 ave. and now there were some girls out.

At the Mohawk on about 43st? (the one with the carwash, store etc. across the street from a cheap hotel) there were two young girls hanging out at the bus stop, flagging down cars as they drove by. They were slim, quite cute, but looked like they hadn't taken a shower for a few days at least! If they cleaned themselves up, they would have looked much nicer, and probably picked someone up. Maybe they work out of the hotel across from the Mohawk?

Up the street a few blocks there is a phone booth on the south side of 118 ave. There was a cute slim girl using the phone a lot (gee, what for?) and some guy dropped off a girl about a block away who obviously knew the girl at the booth. The girl that got dropped off was mid 30's, not bad looking, great ass! Would consider her. Decent looking with the clothes on, anyways.

Further up 118 ave. there was a 30ish blonde working, big hair, nicely dressed didn't look that bad. Drove closer, she looked a little rougher, but still not bad at all. Saw her walk into an apartment building, obviously lives/works out of it. Would hire here if the need arose. ;) Nothing like 80's rockers with big hair, and big tits!

That was it for 118th ave, drove back up 95st South, and right before 111 ave there was a young, very cute, strung out chick doing biz. Slim body, nice long curly hair, white. Obviously on some serious drungs, would consider picking her up as she looked reasonably well kept, and the strung out ones can be quite entertaining.

Street scene never changes in Edmonton. Just different girls, slightly different locations. :)

T-Bone, I noticed in a previous post that you mentioned you liked to stick to cruising rather than MPs. I was just wondering how you deal with the risk. Vice likes to crack down on the street girls nd virtually ignore the MP girls. Also, the MP girls tend to be alot cleaner and safer than the street girls. So, what I'm wondering is, does the added risk that comes with picking girls up off the street add to the fun of it? Do you worry about catching something or being caught? I'm not judging you in any way, I'm just curious to know.

I don't know about t-bone, but I know the reason that I like to cruise the streets every once in a while...it's the risk of getting caught, the price (usually two greens for a hummer), and the convenience of it. I mean sometimes Mr. Happy wants a little more than just a handshake after 11:00pm or before 10 am. Variety is the spice of life and that's what I'm after. As far as vice goes...after a while you get to know who is working and who is keeping tabs. Only been ripped off three times in 10 years so I've been lucky in that department. As far as catching something, I only go for covered BJ...that's it. It's easier to dash if need be.

Hi Lilith. To be completely honest, I am too shy to go into an MP. I am not a shy person, but in that situation, I would be. Also, with street girls there is no intimacy at all. Find a girl, make a deal, close it, done.

As for getting busted, there is certainly a risk. I generally go for the very average girls. I never say a word, unless she is in the car with me. And I don't even talk about the deal until we have driven a block or two. I have never seen an undercover street walker before, but I don't think she would put herself at risk by getting into a car, and going too far away from the cops in cars watching her.

MP girls are definitely cleaner and safer than street walkers. I dated an MP girl years ago, she was squeaky clean as were her co-workers. I would never, never go BB with a street walker, not even BBBJ. Nor DATY.

There is a risk involved. But I am much more worried about getting shanked, robbed, etc. than busted. For me, I think what interests me about street walkers, again, is the lack of intimacy. I don't doubt some guys seek intimacy, and some don't. I am of the latter persuasion. Hmmm...doesn't sound good, huh? :(

I am not into the risk at all. I fear getting caught, and that does not excite me in the least. What excites me is having sex with someone I met minutes ago, finishing the act, dropping her off and it is done and over with. I will never see her again, and she will never see me.

Well, thanks for the replies guys, those are some points I hadn't thought of before. Still, you guys gotta have nerves of steel, I'd flip burgers at McD's before I risked my ass on the streets...

I used to be a semi-regular client of streetwalkers before I got into MPs as a regular thing. I agree that there is an excitement about streetwalkers that masseuses just don't have. One is the novelty factor. The street seems to change pretty regularly, whereas at an MP you generally know what girls are going to be there. It reminds me of that old "Bits and Bites" commercial--you never know what you're going to get. It's been a long time since I've picked up a streetwalker, simply because MPs are so comfortable and "safe". The place is clean, it is a business, and a complete stranger doesn't get into your car or come to your home. I'm not the first person to point out that Calgary has a lousy MP scene compared to ours (and a fairly vibrant street scene) because their cops are the opposite of Edmonton's: they have clamped down on the MP industry, whereas in the capital cops have responded to residents' complaints and focused on neighbourhood prostitution, wisely leaving MPs alone.

As far as T-bone's comments go, I understand ya completely, buddy. There really is an excitement about cruising and knowing that you will be intimate with someone you just met minutes ago. It's an electrifying feeling to think you can meet someone, immediately engage in the most intimate acts of human contact possible and then never see them again. It's the whole randomness and waide array of possibilities guys find appealing, I think.

I agree. With SW you get the rush of window shopping and finding some real treats. The reason I only go to MPs now though is that street action is too random (i.e. lots of misses to get the hits), not safe at all (disease, crime, drugs), and honestly because the MPs do such a fantastic job. The girls are much better looking, and combined with nice facilities and reasonable rates you've got a winning combo. No reason really to go back to street action unless you're going for the rush.

A keystroke away
I used to pick up sw occasionally a while back, but the street scene has changed so much. Its very hard to find a quality sw anymore. On the other hand, the mp business has improved so much, with high class studios, like Penhouse and Fantasy, and not to forget all these talented and top quality ladies. mp is the way to go, safer and less risk.

Lilith, Lilith, Lilith. I saw your photos on the H2T website and was thinking of dropping by for a session, but after that comment I'm not so sure! I had no idea you had such a nasty streak. Girls on the street are just like girls in MPs. Some are pleasant, friendly and give good service, others rush, are bitchy or refuse previously-agreed services. It's like any other line of work. There are good and bad apples.

What gets me wondering is the moment a couple of us talked about the good points and excitement of an encounter with a streetwalker, you had to try to "scare" us, instead of dwelling on the many good points of MPs. You could have reminded us of the comfortable, clean environment, the opportunity to have a hot tub with a beautiful girl, to enjoy a body shampoo or a relaxing massage in addition to the extras. Instead, all you could do was point out that a streetwalker might try to steal my money or stab me. That would suggest you don't have much confidence in your own service. If I'm making a decision to dine out, I'll go to the place which sings the praises of its excellent service, comfortable setting and delicious food. Not the one which says, "Eat at our restaurant. At our competitor's place, your car will get broken into."

Now i'll admit i've never picked up a SW. Nor do i think i ever will.. but sometimes to get into the mood enroute to my appoinment i'll drive through the "Strip" to see what's on display. Anyone else ever do this? heh, i always thought it was funny that i do it especially when i have 0 intention of picking them up.

It was a joke guys. I guess my sense of humour doesn't come across well in print... I wasn't being judgemental about the girls out there or the guys who like to cruise. For the record, I don't actually stab people with dirty needles or rip them off. I was just trying to be funny. So much for that...

Too far from Edmonton MP's now
I think most people understood it as being a joke, but at the same time it sounded condescending toward those who enjoy the SW scene....however, I hope a few knocks don't discourage you from continuing to be a contributor the board. Many of the MP's are very good contributors - keep it up.

Decided to do a little "research" and see what was out last night. Holy crap there were more girls out last night than I've seen in the last few months combined. The only problem was a lot of them fell into the short, fat, ugly, stoned, spooky looking category. I did find a couple of nice ones though. One of them being "Cat". She was 43, still nice body and had a mouth like a shop-vac. Dressed in a little silver skirt and halter top, I stopped cause she looked a lot younger. Damned street lights...anyways, we agreed on 40 for BJ and well the rest is history. She's funny and like I said, could suck a comet out of a black hole...

As always Emily, there are risks involved...and I can appreciate the fact that residents don't like it, etc. etc. I used to live off 118th just past the Coliseum...there was always someone going to "work" didn't matter what time of day it was. It's something that has gotten better over the last four years, but it's still there. The funny thing is, I did a term paper on Prostitution and it's effects on the people involved quite a few years ago...that's what got me into the whole "hobby". I interviewed several SW's, SP's, and johns in the John School, as well as residents and Police. It's the world's oldest profession, and will never go away. Just remember to take care and watch yourself and have some respect for the people that live in the area. ( Don't throw condoms out the window, park in someone's driveway, annoy people walking to the store etc.)

I used to live on 118 and when I walked to the store I seen the girls, I even talked to some of them. There wasn't one I didn't know that didn't do crack or needles, and I seen my share. Why would else would someone go out there to recieve 1/3 the price and not even have a shower or a toilet to use. I dunno. Also I would walk the children I would babysit to the store (at like 5pm) and there at 95 and 118 we would pass the sw's, and the children would ask "is that a hooker, what are they doing, ect. ect. I think that there is better places to conduct buisness then on the public streets, this is not critizizin the jhons or hoes, but why not have a district (like I seen in the edmonton sun). Also some of these girls just don't care about anything, so be careful, and protect yourself.
Those are VERY valid points. I wonder if the fact that Bill Smith (err...the cops) crack down so hard on the streetwalkers in the core of the city that they are spreading out away from downtown?
Me thinks so.

No matter what they do, this problem isn't going to disappear. Never has, never will. A red light district is the ideal situation. There is no way busting girls/johns is going to make a long term difference. All it is going to do is spread them out more into residential areas. Which is happening now. I used to live in Beverly, many many years ago. It wasn't the safest place to live, but at that time there was zero prostitution. It was all downtown around where David Copperfields pub is now.

On a sidenote, if I had kids, the last place I would be bringing them up would be around the 118th ave/95 st area. There is definitely a better place for streetwalkers to conduct business. On the other hand, there are better places to raise a family. I would not so much be worried about my kids spotting hookers, as opposed to the dial-a-dopers and gangbangers hanging around that area.
