Curious if anybody has a story to share about casual encounters, successful or not, from Craigslist. I have looked a few times and it all seems so sketchy.
Thanks for the info. The dating sites do work quite well. I just thought craigslist looked very sketchy so I was wondering what other people thought.I tried a few times but usually if i got a response it was either a pic phishing scam (ie. "Can i see a pic honey?") Or they wanted me to go to a verification site where i would have to input a bunch of personal info so that "they were safe and knew I was legit.
The biggest tip off is that they will never answer a direct question. Anything you ask about them will be ignored. You arr slightly better off trying plenty of fish or lavalife. I hooked up with several women there though only one was a FWB situation and this was all years ago
That sounds interesting. So did you just get the HJ? :nerd:It's basically a waste of time.
Got lucky once.
A woman posted a name of park in lower mainland and said she wanted to give someone a HJ
there vehicle at designated time.
She said "nothing more" provided.
I arrived at the appointed hour in my camper van.
A woman arrived, a deaf mute, entered van where I had bed pulled out.
We had some fun and then she left.
It was a interesting encounter.
Posted a number of times with great success (e.g. offering "mutually rewarding") but over past six months have found it full of crap artists including out in Langley/Abbotsford area some muscle for one of the newer and more popular "agencies" trying to quash anything remotely resembling competition even if is amateur in nature.Curious if anybody has a story to share about casual encounters, successful or not, from Craigslist. Uh, what on earth difference is there between this and a working girl advert on Leolist or CL or ????. All of them could be fake dudes trying to lure you in. Any person with even a little bit of common sense and some steps taken can make any encounter safe but your blanket dismissal seems odd given all of the encounters on this board come from one site or another and all could be fake ads until proven otherwise (and even then, could be altered).Cant remember where I read it Think it happend in Toronto . Their was this Weird news story about a man who used a fake picture of a woman .he put on craigslist . To try to lure men to his home to kill them. He did not manage to kill anyone. But his first and last potential Murder target arrived at his house was told to wait in the garage for the girl to show up . Then he walked into the garage with a ski mask on (in summer time) and a crow bar. The potential target then ran out of the garage to the nearest police station . With the craiglist advertiser running after him with the crowbar and ski mask on. After the police arrested the man He told them of his plan to be the worlds greatest serial killer . He intended to lure and kill 100 men into his garage. He was obsessed with serial killers and had some sort of mental problems .
It might be in this list of craigslist crimes.

so um yea I dont use craigslist to hook up .
I'm more worried about the dude from Dateline who will interview you on live TV before booking you with the cops near by. I sometimes watch those shows and think, "what would I do in that situation..."Uh, what on earth difference is there between this and a working girl advert on Leolist or CL or ????. FAR more likely to have this unrealistic fear of yours to happen with a fake escort than anything through a personal ad given I don't believe anyone gives a crap about people dating each other.I'm more worried about the dude from Dateline who will interview you on live TV before booking you with the cops near by.
