Curious of anyone on this board gets their colon cleansed on a regular basis? eg. Like once every 3 months or something.

Can you recommend a good clean place, that gets rid of the toxins?

Also, do you really feel much better afterwords or is it over-rated?

I recall Angelina told me she gets them done and she thinks its overall a healthy thing to do.

There is a colon hydrotherapist in New West who advertises regularly in Common Ground. Pick up a copy and look for her small ad towards the back.

How do you know the cleanse doesn't do more harm than the shit that's there? I'd think if you just ate right and as the previous poster noted - add a little healthy fiber and you should be good.

Holy fuck, you guys....all he did was ask a question....

My father's going through some health problems, and I've done some researching, and more and more I believe that excess stuff in the colon is a serious health concern....I also believe very very few people have the diet necessary to maintain good colon health. It's an area I'm thinking of paying more attention to, especially now that I'm closer to 40 than 30 :p

Hydrotherapy is one road, but there are also herbal "cleanses" you can do to help clear your intestinal tract of excess "matter"....google colon cleanse, and you'll get a pretty good base of information....

.
That depends how good is your bowel moment. For instance my ex had trouble with her bowel movement and was always constipated. Therefore she was recommended to have colonic cleansing to get rid of all her toxic waste. After she had her colon cleaned up plus improved her diet by eating more roughage, she doesn't need it anymore!

According to her experience ,it was more embrassing than painful!  She had her done once a week for a month.(4x).

After her first cleansing she felt more sick than before because the first cleansing had unblocked some of her stagnant toxic substances. Not until the last two times, the condition improved tremendously!

I think it's very necessary to have your colon cleaned every once in awhile, you don't want to do it too much or you will kill the bacteria that is supposed to be in there. The amount of fecal matter that can remain in your colon can build up over the years. I've also heard that alot of drug use, both legal (anti-depressants and such) and illegal, can slow up the digestive system.

Recent CL ad

I am a Colon Hydrotherapist working out of a clinic in Kitsilano.

I am available Tues, Wed and Thurs from 5:30 pm onwards. Sessions are
45-60min in length. The clinic is open 6 days a week with a flexible schedule for those that can make an appointment during the day.

New Clients are welcome

A colonic is the process of using filtered water to wash the large bowel. Water is allowed to flow in, under gentle pressure, to cleanse the colon of harmful bacteria and toxic waste.

The colon is filled with water and emptied alternately, thereby promoting proper peristaltic action. Varying the water temperature from warm to cool serves to increase the cleansing action and strengthens the muscular walls, which high salts and acids have weakened. The waste is discharged through a plastic observation tube.

You can expect your colonic to be a gentle and safe procedure. A series of colonics facilitates improved colon function and general all round health.
This service is non sexual.

If you would like more information please call 604-505-92** after 5pm and leave a message or email me for more details.

I love the reader protest at the bottom of VV's link:

"Reader Protest
We received this e-mail response from someone who apparently has deep feelings on this subject:

Since you think you're so informed on what would constitute staying healthy, why don't you actually stay on top of MEDICAL RESEARCH. Scientists have discovered 90% of the seratonin in the body is produced IN THE COLON WALL. AND they've realized we have a second brain, which is located in the wall of the intestine. The conclusion is that our health depends on the health of the colon. How can a colon weighing 30 pds (as many autopsy's find), be healthy? YOU ARE THE QUACK. Are the drug companies giving you a kick back?!? You should be ashamed of your life's work. You do nothing but harm people. The medical establishment, kills more people in a month, than natural medicine has in 50 years. Why don't you do some legitamite research. You just like the attention of knocking down people legitamately trying to help people. I hope your parents aren't still alive to see what you've become."

I always though my second brain was in my cock. However this would explain some of the posts here on PERB :D
