My team the Canucks have lost there last 3 games, and 4 of the last 5 games. Thats not the kind of play we want to see. No winning team should lose 3 games in a row...........EVER.

It doesn't get any easier for the rest of the month...

18th Home --- Habs .... they are always tuff
20th Home --- Black Hawks...'should be' a easy 2 points
22nd Home --- Maple Leafs .... always tuff
24th Away --- Maple Leafs ....again
25th Away --- Habs ....again
27th Away --- Senators.... should be an awesome game
29th Away --- Flames.... 'should be' a easy 2 points


Out of 14 points we have the 'potential' to only aquire 4, for the other 10 points the Canucks will have to play like the team i think they are. --- Kev

For all their success early in the season, from what I saw they were fairly lucky with getting some good bounces.
Far too many giveaways.
Now they have started making them at just the right moment for the opposing team, and it's biting them on the ass.
They better stop soon. So they beat Detroit. What about the last few games against the Blues, the Flyers, the Bruins......

Winnipeg Jets used to do the same thing in the beginning of the season. They'd do really good, then suck.

In their last 9 games, they've collected 9 of a possible 18 points which isn't what the Crazy Canuckleheads called for, but it's not half bad either. The good teams continue to grab points from games when they are playing badly, something that will bode well for them come April. I call 9 of a possilble 18 points '.500 hockey', no matter how the wins-losses-ties stack up in the end.

After playing Minnesota 3 times, Detroit and St. Louis twice each as well as Philly and Boston, I'd say they got through with the minimum amount of points they wanted. They played four elite teams with various positive results (1 win and 1 loss against each of Det & StL, also ties with Phi & Bos). Minnesota has always given them fits, and they were 1-1-1 in the three games against the Wild. Through all of this their power play was sputtering, only to be saved by the Mattress Line.

Every game of the 9 (except one I think) was decided by only one goal. Once the WestCoast Express gets back on track, the PP will be even deadlier and the one-goal losses will become one-goal wins.

Canuckleheads: take a collective deep breath. They're still first in the West and they are working through their problems. It should only get better.

That'll never happen.

Sell season tickets to Canuck fans that feature Russian only hockey players. Good luck with that one. I wouldn't even watch them on TV never mind buying tickets.

Name me a quality Russian hockey player, (Kovalchuk ok thats one) there few and far between. Never mind having a whole team filled with Russsian players, trying to compete with the NHLs elite. --- Kev

I be thinking you're a bit biased on this issue. heh There are about 50 Russian players in the NHL at the moment. When news of this rumour came out all the Russian players expressed interest in a team like that. Even Don Cherry said it would make the NHL more interesting.

I'll see if I can find a link to the story on it.

Canucks have yet to face injuries to key players. Crawford, with his inane comment about Hedberg might start losing respect of the players. He has an awful tendency to favour certain players and those not in the the club start to resent it. Cloutier can dono wrong, but Skudra was useless. Now he's starting on Hedberg.When they're winning it's overlooked. When they start to lose, things get sticky. Cloutuer will be over-worked, and be burned out or injured by play-offs. I still think Bertuzzi will be lucky to get 20. He's a lazy player.

A team of all Russian players would be a disaster. I don't agree with Kev that there aren't a number of talented Russian players in the NHL, Russia produces plenty of highly skilled players. Unfortunately it also produces alot of players with piss poor attitudes and serious mental and emotional problems to go along with their skill. Too many Russian players are highly skilled flakes. I would pity any coach that was saddled with an entire team of Russians.

Here's a challange for you see how many Russian players you can name who have the combination of skill, attitude and leadership necessary to take a team to a championship.

Its too bad that more of the elite Russian players of today weren't more like Igor Larionov. Its a pity Larionov didn't get to play in the NHL earlier in his career, with his skill, attitude and leadership he would have ranked highly amongst the all time points scorers.

Hey no need to panic yet.

Geez the last two losses were in overtime and non division games to boot.

Crawford got his ass bit both games.
He went for the win and the extra point , why else would he put King out there. If you notice he was on the ice for both goals in those two games. No doubt he's playing well but that's a pretty tough spot to throw a rookie into.

What do you want? Have Linden out there and preserve the tie just to have there record look good!!

Wouldn't you say King is handling himself very well despite the fact that hes a rookie. You got to admit the kid can play tough in front of the net, and score given the opportunity. Whats he have 10 goals so far?
