It's official now, Canucks are now "minor" league status. Half the Canucks roster should be or was playing for the Manitoba Moose, and now Canucks gets the minor league coach…..yeah!!!

Continued uninspired mediocrity . . . the antithisis of Vancouver Canucks hockey cuz the owners know the fans will continue to buy tickets to watch them lose some more . . .

Ther must be one hell of a coach shortage. In his short stint as head in the NHL, he missed the playoffs 2 of the 3 seasons, and was replaced mid-season in #4. The rest of his head coaching career, which goes back a good 19 or so years, was spent coaching a variety of junior league teams with mediocre results across the board.
I hope he has a short contract. If he has a good 1st year, then extend it.

Vigneault is a very good coach

I remember when he coached the Habs. His team was far from talented..but he still coached them to a respectable record

Not to mention he was a runner up for the Jack Adams

Vigneault is a no-nonsense coach..who works his team hard..but is also fair.

This is a very good move for the Canucks

Next move, fire Nonis..and promote Tambellini..
Promote Tambellini....I totally agree with that move....a move tha they should of done already!!
As for the new coach......I'm not crazy about his hiring......but hey...I'll give a chance!!!
That's the least we can do.....give him a chance...
As I have mentioned on many of my previous posts on the canucks.....The moves that this team does....doesn't surprise me anymore....in fact they haven't in a long ...long time!!

we've always had a goalie problem....in my opinion....nothing against AULD....I like him.....but he needs time to develop....but they need someone that can take the reigns for this team in terms of goaltending!!!
Apar from the rumors out there that we all heard ...of goalies coming here....until I see it...then I'll believe it.....I'm really curious on what changes that we'll see on the d-Line and forwards....we'll all know who I'm talking about....Money as usual will play a part...no doubt!!!
As for the coach......so so pick!!
A typical Vancouver Canuck move!!!!

I would have considered Dave Lewis, the previous assistant for the Detroit Red Wings. He has a lot of experience and must have learned a few things from Scotty Bowman.
