Banning Craigslist Erotic Ads

Recently the Solicitors-General for a number of provinces have been pushing Craigslist to voluntarily drop the "Erotic Services" posting section.

Officials in the US were successful at getting Craigslist to stop such postings there.

So what do "we" think here?

i usually only used CL to see who was on that night. i rarely used it to find someone new as there are to many stories about scams and rip offs

In Vancity It's hard to filter out all the crap to find anything good. In smaller cities like Vic there's nothing but the girls fighting with eachother and flagging everything, lol

I say good riddance, because something better will come along.

Life still goes on in those places where it has been banned. The info is still out there, however, I doubt that some of today's lazier, new hobbiests would be able to find much. It seems like they are forever seeking info that is already available right here, just too lazy to search.

To the oldtimers here: How would they have survived in the 90's? Remember, there was a time when there was no internet and pooning required much more resoursefullness.

I find the reliability of this board is also questionable due to s****, do not review lists and houdini-like disappearing posts.
Advertising creates conflict of interest and it backfires in the long run.

Only those SPs that are truly independant and get numerous reviews pass my scrutiny and like everything experience comes with some misses.

Well - looks like it happened - a random check of Craigslist in Canadian cities shows that the Erotic Services and Adult gigs sections are GONE!

I totally agree. Yeah like pulling Craiglist Erotic Services is going to stop the slave trade. Message to the Governments...get off you asses and maybe just maybe do something that will actually bring an end to the slave practices. Almost all the ads have moved into the therapuetic section of services. This area has no age limit control that needs to be clicked onto to enter -- yep, this is a big improvement.
