Anyone want to trade reviews?

given the past few months here, i have been withholding reviews because i keep getting bs from alot of "lurkers turned members with 16 posts and no reviews".

therefore, i am wondering if any of the contributors, like trawler, for a very good example, want to simply just exchange reviews using the PM feature.

i have many reviews unpublished and they pertain to non-reviewed women on this board. plus, i could probably put in a little more detail given the review is only going to a lesser number of guys and moreover, guys who know how to conduct themselves accordingly.

if you are interested in just PMing reviews to me in exchange for a review in return, kindly reply on this thread so i know who might be interested.

ps. my homeys such as goesks, acc, and a few others, i will gladly just set you up on my buddy list and forward my reviews to you free of charge.

special bonus offer: if you want to do this, then certain hosers on this board don't have to hear me "drone" on about all of the sps i have dated, that is except for you goesks, i know you enjoy hearing and applying certain knowledge only learned from experience.

so if you might be interested, please do reply and we will see how it shapes up. i am more than willing to share info with the guys i know here who actually post reviews here as well.

just really tired of providing info to certain people.

Hi IceG, I can associate with your ...

frustrations but I don't think it is the right way to go. The Public Forum with less talk and more review contributions is my hope for the future.

If we start to PM even the limited Reviews that are posted now, the Board will degrade to nothing but banter. That would lead me to quickly move on to another Forum.

The Purpose of the Board is sharing Reviews, the other news updates and banter are only peripheral. Unfortunately they have been dominating the communication exchange and that needs to change if the Board is to remain useful. I suspect that I have posted about 50% of the actual Reviews on the Board since Xmas, this does not make sense in the longrun. If I start PMing my Reviews, and you PM yours and so on, why have the open Forum. ERB members from other Cities would also be shut out.

memo to those who have PM me

thanks to those who have PM me. to a few of you who offered a "small" review, i want to let you know that i am operating on a what you give me is what i will give you back in terms of quality of review.

to those who have asked, i do not want to be rude, but I am operating on a you provide review first. it is ok if you want to ask about someone before you offer me a review, i am willing to quid pro quo and trade you for someone you want info about. if you feel you cannot "trust" me to send you back a review, then we will not be able to do business. i have been providing info for free for the past year, those days are over.

again, i think the best way to do this is send me a PM with who you can review and a short list of who you want a review about in return and i will let you know if i can provide it.

if you just send me a sketchy 4 line review, that is what i am sending you in exchange and i hope you don't expect a 1000 word review if you send me 6 words.

the point is "trading" info. nothing is free from the Iceman anymore.

to Trawler: sorry to desert you bro, but i have had it with the lowlifes. my offer is still there for you if you want specific info, let me know and i am sure we can work a trade.

to Edmonton1967: thanks for the kind words on my main thread, but i have had a pretty solid response to my offer and i would rather get and give 3 reviews a week than sit here and argue with the hosers and read about them giving each other hand jobs. you are more than welcome to offer trades for info. as you probably have some.

to the hosers: i don't see any reviews from you yet, stop beating off and start providing some info.

i will keep this simple for many who don't read long posts:

1. please do not send me a 6 word review and expect quality in exchange. i now reserve the right to not respond to skimpy reviews or ones of questionable credibility. i do not need reviews of 55 year old escorts, but thanks for thinking i might.

2. please do not send me a PM asking for reviews unless you have indicated the reviews you can exchange in return. if you tell me what you can give me and what you want then we might be able to work together.

3. to my homeys, i am getting so much info that i apologize if i don't end up forwarding everything i write in response as it is alot of work.

thanks to those who have traded with me, i am sure you are happy with my product.

The Tao of a Lurker

Hey IceG... How are you doin?

Let me introduce myself. My name Simon, AKA "lurker turned member with 16 posts and no reviews". I can definitely understand your frustration. It DOES cost a substantial amount of money to be an active member if this board. It DOES take allot of time and effort to offer free information to others in the form of a review. And it is LESS THAN REWARDING to have folks jump all over you in response to those efforts. But everywhere you go there will always be a lowest common denominator. I don’t think this board is an exception. The lowest common denominator in this case are the folks who not only have little to contribute to here, but also make an effort to bring the board down through negative comments. The old adage "If you have nothing constructive to say, don't say anything at all" also holds true on the Internet.

But there are other people, like myself, who despite not offering allot in the way of reviews, truly appreciate the efforts of the wily veterans like yourself and some of the others mentioned in this thread. It is because of these reviews that I have been able to steer away form the "Staceys@Sinderellas" of this hobby. And while I have posted a review when I thought it offered some new insight, this board needs another review of Lauren, or Melanie, or Rebecca, like I need a sword in a gunfight. Maybe some of us newbies should TOFTT, but I don’t think it should be because we have a gun to our head. I think a better solution would be for some of us quieter members to occasionally let some of the more active members know that their efforts don’t go unnoticed. Maybe we could drown out some of the shit talk that’s going on around here.
So from a fellow Perbert who probably receives substantially more than he offers here, thanks for steering me in the right direction, and helping me spend my money wisely. Your time and effort is definitely appreciated, I hope you keep your thread alive.

thanks dude, you are not what i meant by "lurkers with 16 post, no reviews, etc.." because you conduct yourself with a modicum of class.

i appreaciate your gesture. truly and it is individuals like yourself (as i once was 4 years ago on EaEB) that demonstrate "courtesy towards other guys who are giving you something valuable for free". do you see why i always try to respect and defend Fergie and Erwah? because i was you 4 years ago and they were me. i never "lipped" off to them because i knew they were giving me valuable info when they were getting nothing but a cyber-handshake in return.

it is kind of the concept of "don't bite the hand that is saving you time and money, just because you are a jackass". if you disagree with someone, fine, but there is a huge difference between disagreement of opinion and trying to take potshots at people.

i have no problem with heated arguments with guys with 16 posts, as long as they have contributed a few reviews. the people i cannot stand are the ones who just try to stir the pot and have never posted any reviews.

simon, you are more than welcome to submit your "have info" on and "want info" on lists to me and i will gladly deal with you.
