Without saying "you should try this," i'll write this:
You may benefit from consulting a TC Doctor aka: acupuncturist.
I've derived great benefit from reducing inflammation with acupuncture and reducing symptoms of another long term-chronic (35+ year) issue.
I know that some physiotherapists (whom I admire and have also been a patient) have undertaken courses and provide a form of acupuncture yet i have more confidence in Traditional Chinese Doctor and their 'whole body, outlook.
As mentioned, my personal experience is positive. Others may not be so i'm only recommending to consider it as an option.
The traditional treatment for bursitis has been cortisone and/or prednisone. Frankly, it works. But it's also hard on the body in other ways.
Hope you find the path to healing that works for you.
