I still question the authenticity of your qualifications simply based on your lack of knowledge with regards to your spelling of medical terms.
That's like saying you don't know what you're talking about because you added an S to "regard".

Thank you to Eva for acknowledging that I am not a figment of someone's imagination and to Cuteangie for weighing in regarding the requirement to be a literary genius to post here. I was not aware I was preparing a thesis for defense or submitting a paper to a major medical journal but I will take care in the future. I am very much real and despite Shelby's desire to discredit me, I am who I purport ( LOL ) to be. To Blackcad; the auto spell comment was in reference to my own hastily crafted postings ( Anyone out there use an Ipad? arg ) and was not a swipe directed towards him.

As a relative newcomer to Perb I must say this has been an interesting excursion but I am happy to see the post getting back on tract with respect to the original question posted as opposed to attempting to slander and defame well meaning members because of some personal agenda. Mike

We used to pay our bill in full, but run frantically out of the restaurant as if we were dining and dashing, just for shits and giggles. I got caught by an angry cook at Denny's once and he ripped my shirt and gave me a few shots to the jaw as he dragged me back to our table where the waitress was happily counting her 25% tip.

Ah shit I miss the 80's!

Bumps and bruises were all part of the little shit teenage years... I hadn't thought of that night in years until I read of LAG's history. That's why I come here! Too funny.

Reminds me of a friend I have now that's always trying to convince his wife that he cheated on her, although he absolutely had not, and would not. She called me a few week's ago, after I had a night of partying with her husband, and asked me pleadingly, "Was _____ bad last night?"

"Umm, well, we got supremely drunk and smashed my kitchen up, but other than that, I don't think so..." I replied.

"He's telling me you guys got blowjobs from some strange girls you met at the cold beer and wine..." She explained.

"No. No that didn't happen" I assured her. It didn't... That doesn't happen.

I could hear him laughing in the background.

The guys wife is hot. And he's not. She loves it in the ass. She has a near six figure job. This kind of behaviour is how he landed her. Go figure. I guess this is one for the thread about unorthodox yet crushingly effective ways to land a 10.

Fuck I love that guy!

That is sooo funny! Sorry to hear about the chef punching you though, ouch! Denny's of all places lol. I understand how dining and dashing could happen when you're a youngster or even a student, late at night after a few too many drinks when all morale has slipped away...ha ha ha

Yeah, you see...I am not claiming to be a doctor with a BSC, an MA, and be an MD with a Dip in Sports Med who cannot spell or use grammar correctly
He didn't claim to have that diploma. It's not needed. You didn't know what it took to get an MD even though you could have just looked it up at the UBC website where they in fact have a sports medicine program. So I wouldn't pursue what was claimed when you don't seem to have any idea what you're talking about. And to fall back on spelling mistakes as the substitute for factual claims is really really weak: I make mistakes, doctors make 'em, engineers and lawyers all have their weaknesses and often have their language cleaned up by their good-hearted office employees.

Spelling flames are kinda fun though...I reserve my right to employ them in future. Good luck with your clients!

You can sue him you know if you paid the bill.

Yeah, you see...I am not claiming to be a doctor with a BSC, an MA, and be an MD with a Dip in Sports Med who cannot spell or use grammar correctly, so your comparison of me isn't on the same level whatsoever. I'm an escort so mistakes are expected. I don't claim to be perfect or even intelligent for that matter. My specialties are sex, fun, and rock and roll. My gentlemen friends cum (hard) for erotic sex that I enjoy as much as they do, to be entertained, and to watch me perform incredible skills on them with enjoyment. People don't see me to get off on my writing skills. However, if that is a fetish, I could provide that ;) It doesn't bother me in any way if my writing is criticized, and I know there are mistakes in it. I didn't have my grammar texts out while I wrote it so...But yeah, I am here to offer a fantasy - nerdy, sexy, or otherwise..I have even had a request to wear my nerd glasses recently! I also have several corporate outfits to go with those glasses, and I never wear underwear. :p

He didn't claim to have that diploma.
Oh really...he didn't....here's his quote....."So, to set your mind at rest I can speak to that: BSC, biology, Masters
Sports physiology, and oh...MD sports medicine. It's not needed. You didn't know what it took to get an MD even though you could have just looked it up at the UBC website where they in fact have a sports medicine program." (Actually, it is very difficult to obtain admission without an undergraduate degree. Two first-year English courses are required for anyone applying to medical school; they are not optional.)

So (starting a sentence with 'so' here is incorrect) I wouldn't pursue what was claimed when you don't seem to have any idea what you're talking about. And (starting a sentence with 'and' in this context is incorrect) to fall back on spelling mistakes as the substitute for factual claims is really really (double adjective - incorrect, lacking punctuation) weak: (improper use of colon) I make mistakes (we can all see that), doctors make 'em, engineers and lawyers all have their weaknesses and often have their language cleaned up by their good-hearted office employees (extreme run-on sentence....can't even fix it because of the sentence construction).

Spelling flames are kinda fun though(your spelling is not too shabby....your grammar requires work though)...I reserve my right to employ them in future. Good luck with your clients!
I'm surprised that you got the "with regard / with regards" thing correct despite your writing style. LOL It's all in good fun.

Here's what Shelby wrote:

The issue is that latter diploma, which Shelby thought was the only credential available in the field from the organization she linked to, but it isn't so I am RIGHT ON THE INTERNET! It may be true that it's hard to get into get into UBC medicine without an undergraduate degree - it's a great school. But the requirements are 90 undergrad credits and an MD is considered a first professional degree and is not a graduate degree that requires a bach and a master degree so Shelby is WRONG WRONG WRONG ON THE INTERNET!

I cop to the crap writing, though I defend eccentric use of the colon (!!!) and things like putting a period outside the quotes. It gets worse as I get older, particularly in substitution of homophones for one another. Thank god I can still format properly. Four dots in the ellipses? Please.

Shelby, that's totally awesome. I regret that I am often far too lame to do what you did, so thumbs up.

In your face
I have had some complaints. I am going to be going through the postings tonight, I would suggest that everyone take a deep breath before trying to be right anymore in this thread. I believe the topic was fitness, maybe that discussion should resume.

Did Little Asian Guy ever get that recommendation for an aerobics class and its location?
I've suggested kickboxing class he could take around Main and 5th. $20 a session, semi-private.

sigh...so many comments, of so little relevance to the original post.......

Pretty much all community centers in Vancouver offer group fitness classes, the bulk of which are geared towards aerobic fitness. Pretty much all private fitness facilities offer comparable classes, often with varying themes, such as martial arts or kickboxing. Many places also offer boot camps, which are often done off site. Neither option is usually that expensive. Failing this, one can also hire a trainer. Prior to the summer, most centers I frequent offered "beach body" themed classes. From my observations, this seemed like a good starting point. As other posts in other threads have noted, the female to male ratios in these classes are really slanted towards women, so LAG might meet some new people.
