The ladies are smart Business Women

I think too often some guys forget that these are business women, and some of them are very shrewd business women at that. The concept is simple, it's called marginal utility, and the law of the marginal utility curve. A certain small segment of the population will pay top dollar for a good or service, and another small segment of the population will only pay a minimal amount for the same good or service, and the majority of populations price point is somewhere in between. If a lady wants to maximize her business she will price herself at that point where the profit is maximized for her (given that she has production inputs like any other business), Maximizing profit while minimizing costs, is the name of any sales game. The law of diminishing returns means if she lowers her price she may well have a larger gross intake, but her net will be less (in terms of her time, expenses, risk, etc.) . I am in the sales biz, it's the very same for us. Now if I was a sales manager, I'd only hire working girls, they are the best sales people in the whole world.

The problem with the analogy is that what she is selling is not a widget....

I am sorry, but the SPs cannot see 15 guys in a day and offer the same service as if they see 3 or 4. For that reason many are willing to price herself to ultimately 3 less guys....

It is not necissarily ALL about the money in the sense that it is more about maintaining a certain level of income with a certain amount of effort...

It comes down to services, now if a girl does GFE 300 is fine, if she does PSE or some PSE extras at 350 that is fine, however if she is trying to do just basic FS at 350 then yea that is just a rip off.
A guy should not be expecting to get much for around 220, just a basic FS, that is the reality of our economy.

You have to look at what is the girl providing at her rate too, not just the rate.

Here's what I think

As a very infrequent pooner, I must say that you will pay what the going rate is if you want the service. If you are cheap and look around for the lowest price, try living in the past, etc. You will find the cheapest SP out there.

There's a difference between cheap and inexpensive.
Cheap = sh*t
Inexpensive = not expensive, but good

In the past when I pooned more frequently I found that if you don't like the high prices, become a regular with someone you like more than the next. You will find if you are a decent person, that they will cut you some slack, knowing you'll be back.

But hey, everyone's different and some just like to whine. I do too sometimes.

....was not to say that $350 is too much for most people, but rather I'm looking at it from the SP side of things (which in turn is to our advantage too). I'm just saying they would get more bites at $300 than $350 (duh)....so is all the lost revenue that they miss out on for the guys who take a 'pass', really worth charging the extra $50? I for one would've dumped a shitload more on SPs if they were in the $275-$300 range, but at $325, $350, etc.....I pass. So for trying to grab an extra $25-$50 on TOP of an already amazing $300, they end up with $0.

That's really all I meant.......

Another problem with that is once you start charging less more frequently and lowering the price people start to ask for an even better price and so forth, and then someone just complains about it being $300 instead of $250 or whatever the price may be. Its not always about turning away someone for an extra $50, but then people want you to lower even more, and you have to see more clients, which i am not sure if you know this, is actually hard on a womens body. In the long run there may very well be even more chances and risks associated with that.

When you compare it to other areas where I have been (Ottawa, Niagara region), 300 is expensive. Is it unreasonable ? .. to some yes for others no. For me, I don't have a problem spending 300 or 350 .. but, it will be with someone who provides the ultimate service, massage etc ... the BBBJTCIM option (for me) doesn't hurt ... but, that is something you don't find in these areas.
