Avoiding Rip Offs?

My first adventure into the land of escorts was a rip off. I researched and couldn't find any negatives. The pictures I had seen for almost a year. I called and made the appointment for a rate including a BBBJ and was quoted $280, looked like a deal to me! A similar looking woman showed up an hour and a half later than promised (the first of about 15 red flags where I should have said "NO! Just GO!" But my little head was more than willing to overlook... She asked for and took the money when I asked her to get naked. Then she blew up and hauled ass. Having no desire to repeat that experience, I've taken a year to think about it. I am still pissed at her, more so at myself. I know I should never let her through my front door!

How do you protect yourself from rip offs? Any tricks and tips? I've got down the Do The Research, trust your gut and bail out before you hand over the money if there is any doubt... Your advice would be most welcome!

Stick to reputable agencies or well reviewed independent companions and
do a lot of research first. Good luck !

researching and not finding any negatives is not the same as researching and finding positives. also sometimes people impersonate well-reviewed companions, so make sure you double check the phone number or email address you're using to contact them against a web site or review.

Looking at your Post history, I don't see a Review of your Rip-Off experience ?

Is this a One way street where You ask for Directions, but, never offer any ?

Hey Bruce. Thanks for sharing your experience. Trust me, it’s happened to us all if you’ve been in the hobby for any length of time. Perb is the best source for this info. And I can understand your feelings of embarrassment and anger so don’t be too hard on yourself. Generally speaking LL is a quagmire to wade through to find the jewel, but generally speaking almost all legit providers will have verified pix. That being said verified pix are falsified or stolen all the time. If you’re playing it safe, go with a well reviewed Perb SP. If I’m intrigued enough to TOFTT, I generally rely on the texting vibe. If she’s curt and unpleasant on text chances are it’s going to be a dud. Lots of SPs have phone/text girls and I often ask if this is so-and-so or a handler. If it’s a handler from an unknown group, then I’ll usually put the brakes on. That being said, there is no foolproof way to screen out duds and I’m sure if you speak to an SP they’ll say the same thing about us clients. Keep at it and share when you’ve had an experience.

Ok, fair enough . As V.V. alluded to, We've all made mistakes on these pooning Adventures .
It's part of the learning curve !

I don't spend a lot of time on LL these Days, so I'm not sure what the percentage of Fakes, and Scams is .

But, I noticed a Review for Lady, I wasn't familiar with .

Now if I take her Name ( Ella ), with the last 4 Digits of her Phone # ( 3581 ), and I put that into the Searchbox .
It comes back with at least 1/2 Dozen positive Reviews .

Which in my mind, would probably yield a pretty positive Experience .
There's obviously quite a few more idiosyncrasies to finding a compatible Lady, depending on what your looking for .
But, that's the starting point that'll save You a lot of Time, and Dineros !

Easiest way is probably just book with the ladies who advertise on perb. Since they have to pay to post ads here, you probably won't get scammed. Their user name will be red, you can find their ads in the escort ads section, the ads are a couple months old, but most of the ladies are probably back working (perb doesnt allow posting ads atm)

First thing I do is perform a search on the photos being used in the ad (unless the ad is on PERB, I tend to give this forum's admins the benefit of the doubt regarding filtering out scammers).

Next, I do as Mr. Q suggests and search on PERB using the combo of the provider's name and last four of their phone number. If nothing comes back, I'll just type in the last four. Nothing still, I'll type just the name. Sometimes members post comments alerting others that a provider has changed names by referencing their previous handle with their new one.

Lastly, if I've found nothing but really am intrigued by the provider, I'll post an inquiry with a link to their ad in the 411 section of this forum to see if anyone happens to know anything but just hasn't posted about it yet. A Google search can't hurt either, using key words that include their full phone number, name, or a combination of both. Maybe they've left an online footprint leading to other forums that might prove insightful.

But if you're being spontaneous and need to get pleased within the next few hours, best to just go with a well reviewed provider, a massage parlor, or someone you've seen before and can trust.

To add my 2bits to this, and to the OP, brother all of us who have been in this for a while have felt some let down or have been ripped off one way or another. Part of the learning curve. You just earned your pooning badge.

Do everything posted here to check out how valid your choice is - for the most part the reviews here reflect what you will get. But I have used another maybe finer point that has worked for me when I find a new sp of interest. Many of the providers' handlers use the same address, or get rotated in and out of those residences. You may find a new provider that looks tasty with a similar ad to one you have visited before. If that experience was good, contact the new provider and ask for a general address, then as you text back and forth a few times ask if the address is (txt the address, cross streets, building name etc). For me if its the same address I get at least a notch of comfort knowing that the handler has some degree of ethics. Also you are gaining a bit of repertoire which just might come back to you with that extra bit of effort when you need it

When you said, you haven't found anything negative ...but have you found anything positive about her ?
Book with a lady who doesn't have negative but has many positive reviews.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. As others have said we've all been there and you've received good advice above.

Additional steps that are helpful:

Google and Yandex find the most fakes in my experience. Also available for FireFox.

- copy and paste her 10 digit number into google search. if there is no history skip her. if there is history read it and follow your gut. MEN, please start including 10 digit phone numbers when you post reviews or refer to any SP

- exchange a few brief texts and ask her a couple of questions. Follow your gut. Calm and friendly replies are essential to a good experience. if you receive curt, shitty replies skip her.

- AND most important DO NOT HESITATE TO WALK AWAY or DECLINE. If it does not feel right for you JUST SAY NO

- before handing over YOUR money review her services, restrictions and rates. if she changes from the original agreement WALK AWAY.

- If the bathroom is occupied by anyone else WALK AWAY

- If she is drunk, high, bruised, bad teeth, or anything that makes you feel uneasy WALK AWAY.

- If a guy is hanging around outside WALK AWAY.

- if ANYTHING feels off WALK AWAY
