I expect this will be the end of uncleg's naive commentary.
.
Krustee, you are an idiot. However, let me tell you a story about Vietnam from personal experience, not something I read about. I was assigned to a Fire Base, and close to the base was a village, one we had set up as part of the campaign to win the hearts and minds of the people, also because we couldn't protect them where they originally were. One of the members of my squad, decided to win a bit more of the anatomy then hearts and minds and he ended up with a little hooch girl. About a week before he was to head home he went to see her. A bit later we heard him screaming and then we saw him coming up from the village, still screaming, trying to hold his dick together. She'd split it, length wise with a razor. He didn't make it. In the morning we hit that village, she was gone, but her family wasn't. I don't think you want the details of what we did to the family and to the village. The army airlifted in a dozer a few days later and buried what was left.

I note you mentioned in another thread about being in Gulf One with, I presume Canadian Forces. What did you do during the war Krustee, that makes you an expert ?
Thanks for calling me an idiot!
(not so sure you would be willing to repeat that to my face)

To answer your last question - I was just a soldier.

As for your story above, why were you there?

What was the purpose for you being there in the first place?

I don't care if you personally massacred 2 million people while you were there at this particular juncture I just want you to give me a good reason WHY you were there?

As for the member of your squad, if he forced himself on that girl & raped her, then I would say that he met with a punishment for his crime.
Whether equal or not it was a punishment.

I guess next you will tell me he & she were engaged to be married & she was just PMS'ing?

The real world is a pile of shit - I know this first hand.

I just choose to no longer answer to the beckon call of the Shepard because I do not trust his motives.

I served my time & I am not ashamed as I served with honour & integrity & I feel as though the time during which I served, the conflict was at least a marginally just cause for fighting - not so with Vietnam.

There is a book out there called" 9/11 SYNTHETIC TERROR" by Webster Griffen Tarpley. It documents how FALSE FLAG operations throughout history, including 9/11, have duped the public into supporting wars that otherwise would be unpopular, and that hidden rogue governments are the real power behind the, "Officially" elected governments.

Wednesday August 05/09 at 1300 hrs, Robson steps of the Art Gallery. I'll be wearing a red ball cap from Armani Exchange.

Why was I there ? Because if I wasn't there I would have been one of those guys up in a clock tower.

No it wasn't rape.

So you were a soldier, good for you. Canada Dry or Canada Dry Two ? Not much action or risk in Doha, Quatar.;)

Not Army Exchange?

Must be nice not to have to work for a living.

During work hours - yeah I would bet I won't be there either.

Otherwise I'll be happy to take your money!

Nice of you to offer me a beer but if you call me an idiot to my face you may find it a little difficult to drink.

I mean name calling is something that bullies usually practice & I hate bullies with a passion, enough to give them what they normally dish out.

It's an instinctive reaction, I can't help myself.

Why not make it a non-work day?

Ha Ha.

Sorry sonny, I do work for living.

Then I am sure she was PMSing eh?

Assume that if you want.

Well if you feel strongly enough about it.

Making some assumptions aren't you.

If it works for you fine, but sometimes instinct can go seriously wrong.

Why not make it a non-work day?

I don't have those. I own a business where people feel they can call on you 24/7.

Don't worry you'll grow out of your confusion.;)

Isn't there a plan to build an oil pipeline from Iraq through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India? I thought that was one of the primary reasons for wanting to control the region.
Yes, and just to show you that this corruption does not stop at party lines...the U.S. taxpayers paid the salaries of the entire Taliban regime in 1999 (Clinton was president). And under Bush, this support became even more explicit, as UNOCAL lobbyists sought a deal with the Taliban to build their pipeline to central Asia.

I'd be interested to know how a Canadian could be a "soldier" in Gulf 1. Airman, Seaman or Medical - maybe. Canada's contribution was Naval, Air and a field hospital.

Since Gulf 1 was because Saddam thought Kuwait was stealing his oil and the American Ambassador had allowed him to believe that they weren't opposed to his invasion, how does Gulf 1 become a "Good" war? Gulf 1 and Gulf 2 are both about fueling American SUVs.
True on the Canadian contribution, but these contributions had to be protected. Therefore, Military Police and the Royal 22nd ( Van Doos) were deployed to Qatar to provide security at the Canadian bases. Canadians actually in Iraq, were attached to American units, but these were mostly officers or technical personnel. For instance one of the American Armoured Divisions had a Canadian General as 2I/C.
