Tom's

I suppose this is a review of Tom's paranoia since I didn't get to see any of his ladies.

I find this hard to believe but I tried to set up a session with one of his ladies and Tom of CL (9165) basically told me he won't do business with anyone who doesn't own a cell phone.

What f*cking difference does that make? His call display has my f*cking home phone number! It's not like I've never seen one of his girls before. I told him that I'd been there at least four times before.

I established that it was not a matter of miscommunication: Q. "So, are you are telling me that you don't want me to call because I don't have a cell phone?" A. "Oh, you can call if you want to." Q. What is the point of me calling if you are going to ask me if I have a cell phone to which I will say "No" so you can then tell me that the girl won't see me? A. "No cell phone, no, sorry nothing personal". Q. "Fine, you don't want me to call again?" A."You can call if you get a cell phone." A. "F*ck you!"

Somehow, with all the Asian micros in town, I hope that I just might be able to survive without Tom's, continue to enjoy my pooning, yet still enjoy a personal life style that does not include ownership of a cell phone.

somebody else also mentioned Tom being paranoid with him and not answering his calls anymore even though he has visited his place on several occasions

Cell phones — Indispensable part of pooning

I think the reason is that as an extra measure of security, he may want to give you a re-direct. I.e., tell you to meet him at a certain address, and then when you get there, re-direct you to a different address nearby. Last time, instead of buzzing me up, he met me downstairs and took me to an adjacent building! And this was after a re-direct. A lot of micros want to observe you calling from your cell on the security cam where you buzz up, to make extra sure that you are for sure the person attached to that caller ID.

Granted, Tom is a bit more paranoid than most. I suppose he may have his reasons to be. I am pretty certain he keeps track of pooners' cell phones, and you will end up on either his good list, where he will pick up the phone and greet you warmly, or the bad list, where he will ignore you.

Lets face it, a cell phone adds an indispensable amount of security for the girls. They all need to know your caller ID, and want to make sure you are really the person attached to that caller ID. It certainly is a pain for those who don't have a cell, but it is hard to imagine someone who can afford to poon but not have a cell.

Safety wise, a cell could be just as important as a condom! (Well, at least from the girls' point of view!). Also, remember that the safer the girls are, the better it is for all those involved. Less rip-offs and scams, etc.

It seems to me that this 'Tom' is simply paranoid to the point of being ridiculous about this stuff - what difference does it make how you contact him? What exactly is he worried about, some kind of elaborate sting operation or something? If that were the case nothing he does is going to stop it from proceeding anyway.

I,too, am a former customer(quite a few times)of Tom's.

I suggested to him that he, or,the girls, could view me on the security tv channel so they know it's me but he just said I had to get a cell phone.

So, I spend my $ elsewhere.

I haven't yet had the pleasure of seeing any of his ladies, but have a cell phone that displays my number.
However after numerous attempts to call, he simply doesn't pick up.

i had the same expereince with tom.

i was a regular a year ago. so i called him up again. i was calling him on my friend's cell phone because mine went out of battery. so i was using my friend's phone.

he asked me if I have a cellphone, i told him i am using my friend's cell phone now to call you cause mine is out of battery.
he: " so you dont have a cell phone?"
me: " i said it went out of batt"
he: " so call me again when you have a cell phone"
me: " i can use my friend's cell phone to call u when i am downstairs?"
he: " no, you cannot"
me: "wtf? why? what's the difference?"
he: " you need to have your own cell phone"
me: " my friend is with me, why can't i use his? we can still contact?"
he: " no, you need your own."
me: " then what if i don't?"
he: " then you can;t come. a cell phone is mandatory, not optional. my girls want it, no cell phone, no visit"
me: " am i in school? wtf? i am trying to poon, and you? wtf?"
he: " u have no choice. u need a cell phone."
me: " what-fking-ever"

I too do not own a cell phone. It is partially for health reasons (is it considered poor manner to ask an SP to turn off the cell phone?), but I am not really a phone person, either. It is indeed more difficult to book appointments without a mobile device. Many times I had to try to get all the info in the first landline call. Many times I had to run around looking for a payphone after arriving at the non-final destination. This is not an easy task as nowadays it seems payphones are being taken down. There was one time where I had to borrow the phone in a grocery store because no payphones were to be found within 15 minutes of fast walking distance :)).

Inconvenient? Definitely. However, it's usually just the first time, as the receptionist or the independent ladies are more than willing to see me again in future visits.

I wish it were like in the mid-90's where not every third person was constantly yapping on their mobile phone and Internet spam was practically non-existent.

P.S. Does anyone know if there exists a way to send an SMS message from a landline phone to a mobile phone? Thanks.

:(

A ridiculous exaggeration! How does a cell phone number provide any greater security than a home telephone number? Anyone can borrow (or steal, for that matter) a cell phone. I can't imagine very many people calling to book an appointment with an SP from a home other than their own.

Well, I did say "could be" and not is.

The caller ID on a cell phone is basically a form of ID. Sure, it could be fake or stolen, but watching a guy call on his cell from the video cam in the front lobby as he buzzes up, and maybe checking if his caller ID is on a list of bad guys, is much better than letting in a total anonymous guy into your apartment. Plus, once your number is on the good guy list, then the girl's security increases exponentially.

Plus, how many guys are going to call from home? I.e., "Excuse me dear, i am just going to call up my favorite call-girl and disappear for an hour or so." That will go over well with the little wifey at home, I am sure. What if he calls from work, and there are a thousand employees? Or asks any business to borrow their phone? And how do you know the guy buzzing up now is the same guy who called half an hour ago?

Put yourself in the SP's shoes. Is she more likely to die from a busted condom, or letting in a guy with total anonymity into her place?

Let's face it, cellphones have become an indispensable part of pooning. There is no going back now. Any pooner without a cell has got to raise some serious question marks.

I am all for promoting the SPs' safety, because that just makes things better for everyone involved.

cheers and happy pooning! :)

Hardly a luddite because I despise cell phones. Nothing is ruder than some idiot shouting into a cell phone in a public place (for some reason no one seems to talk at normal volume into these things) or more dangerous than drivers using them and putting everyone else at serious risk.

Tom is the only person that I have had problems with because of my refusal to subscribe for one of these ridiculously expensive devices (Canada has just about the highest cell phone rates in the world).

Sorry jjack, not only does canada have the highest mobile phone fees in the world, canada also doesn't have those "pay as you recharge sim" for your mobile phone. Yes, you are right, this is assbackward country.

Fido has prepaid $20 sim cards.

Buy a sim card for $20 load it with whatever, pay as you go.

Tell 'em you're from outta town, in for a few weeks and need a phone.
