Just wondering if anyone has a chance to see "Bonnie" on LL yet. Has two ads up a few days appart. 604/Vancouver number. Write up flows well without spelling and context issues (usually a sure sign of a scam is a badly written ad). None of the photos bounce back with any returns, though full face shots are usually rare.

Not really venturing out at the moment, with covid and all, but if she's legit and sticking around I might have to add her to my "see when all this is over" list.

At least one of the photos got hits on Google Image search so I doubt that's really her. The "don't do restrictions" part may or may not be a red flag, as well.

Hmmm. Interesting. I didn't use google image search. I had used tineye I believe. I'll have to redo them with google when I get a moment.

I agree with restrictions being a may/may not thing. That's kind of unique to each provider. Some are great at listing them, others not so much.

Usual red flags like "party favs available" or "available 24/7" or spelling, grammar issues. This posted doesn't have that vibe.

More research needed I suppose!

Edit notes: I had originally worded that "red flags" paragraph different and I guess there was some misinterpretation on Alyssa's part, see post before. Hopefully I've made it more clear!

I have the utmost respect for those in this industry; as a "consumer" I can certainly tell the difference between those that craft their posts seriously and those that don't. Certainly wasn't a slight against you at all; just an observation of mine that scammers usually have badly written ads. It's one of mine, and many others, red flags. The above ad, in my opinion, wasn't terribly written and didn't hint at scammer, but some elements might; which is why I was looking for feedback or experiences.

Brass pole , I think its the way you wrote the sentence that led to the misinterpretation of your statement . It sounded like a red flag is if spelling or grammar issues are NOT present.

Spelling/grammar issues not present??? Seriously? I go well out of my way to present myself with as few if not no grammar or spelling mistakes, its called being thorough and professional. Which is something any woman running her own business might well be striving towards. I might rethink this philosophy.

Contacted her twice first time was pretty quick to respond then nothing for hours, second time agreed to meet but then asked for only giftcard or paypal due to getting robbed and covid restrictions .. Thought it was odd so I backed away.

Yes, good that you did. Rule of thumb I've learned is if providers don't take cash at all, they won't get my business.

I agree. Gift cards or PayPal as a payment is on the sketchy side for sure.

I'd consider tap through a square reader in person or etransfer ahead of time only if they were well established, as some of the magnificent ladies in Victoria are, in the area and I'd seen them before.

I was going to contact them the next time the ad was up but I guess I don't have to now.
