This has been 'eating up inside me' forever.

I have been a Timmy's faithful for a long time, mostly because they are the closest to my work place. What I have noticed is that their items do not taste the same every time. That applies to other food outlets too though. For now, I will stay focused on T.H. and seriously none of their items taste the same (location and time of the day wise).

I always order the same thing and the coffee tastes anywhere from bitter and stale to refreshing and aromatic. One of my favorite is their crispy chicken sandwich (spicy one) and I swear I have had about 10 different flavors.

Is it just limited to Timmy's or other places too? Is it just me or anyone else feels the same way?

could be the 'lingering effects' of your prior 'engagement, 8...perhaps a palate cleanse post-tryst might be in order (jk)

No, although she has been 'on tip of my tongue', I have not tasted "THAT SPECIFIC SP THAT IS A MUTUAL FRIEND OF YOURS AND MINE", for about two months, so no lingering nothing here. GJ.

2 Months!!?? A man of your taste is either 'sampling w/out sharing' or 'buried in domestic bliss', those are the only explanations I could fathom...life's too short not to get your 'fix' at least monthly

This is true. I had a friend who worked for timmy's. Everything is frozen and then baked. The only fresh items are the chili and coffee.

Also keep in mind take8easy, a whole number of factors can change your meal. What time of day, your current mood, how hungry you were, if the employee made an effort to go all the way, etc. You can't expect too much from fast food. Its cheap and quick, so it fits.

I agree with Miss H.....what do you think all those brown Tim Hortons trailers are filled with that run down the highways?
Their soups come in plastic containers that are just reheated....their broccoli soup has made me sick more than once.
Bear in mind my stomach isn't used to processed food like a city dweller.
If I'm going to eat fast food, I will eat at Tims, just because when I venture down in your neck of the woods, I can't find anything anyways, and Tims is on every street corner......I also feel for fast food it may....and I use the term loosely ....be the lesser of all evils.

This isn't exactly a story about fast food restaurants, but I happened to be chatting the other day with a guy who used to drive trucks between the Lower Mainland and the southern states. I asked what sort of stuff gets hauled up from the southern states to this part of the world. I learned that the dough for Costco's baked goods is mixed in one of the southern states where labour is cheap, and hauled up here in trucks as raw dough. Yum!

That is how a lot of franchisers make their money: selling raw materials to the franchisee.
Plus imprinted napkins, cups, food wrappers, and so on.

Many large restaurant chains share a large central "kitchen" and truck the food to the retail location. There is one very close to where I work. It is an unmarked steel building, you'd never notice it. It smells good though.

I was disappointed to see Cookies by George trucking in frozen dough. I had liked to imagine them as artisan bakers.
Might as well buy frozen cookie dough at Walmart.

The thought of eating at TH would never enter my mind. That people line up to pay money for that crap is one of Canada's biggest mysteries.

Tim Hortons to me not only tastes disgusting, it literally makes me sick.
I haven't eaten there in years, because the last three times in a row it made me sick.
Arbys, A&W, and Wendys also make me very sick.
The least offensive to my stomach are McDonald's, Burger king, Carl's Jr and Dairy queen.

The 6 to the.. Other 6
I usually stay away from them.. But I do like me some Shake Shack when I'm down south. It just hits a nice spot in my tummy.

I would say for Canadian junk food I personally like A&W and Wendy's... It's like they try to at least "make food".

I second that. IMHO they have the best menu for fast food restaurants. It's a pretty low bar though.

I'm extremely particular with diet & weigh my food for each meal. I don't eat fast food and when I drive places I'll just go to a grocery store and get fruit or healthy something. Or I just don't eat and survive off coffee. I worked at home and I cooked all 3 meals a day. I found when I ate fast food, I felt tired, sluggish and heavy. The only thing I'd eat from a fast food place would be a Wendy's potato or maybe chili. Usually I find a health food join and lately have taken to eating sushi. It's a great mix of carbs and proteins.
I don't think this thread is for you........... just saying. :)

I became a member of PERB in July 2014 and since then I have noticed that a thread goes sideways after about 5 to 10 posts.

No offence, I am not asking about people's food preferences and what IS healthy and what IS NOT.

All I asked was , "Do you find that the taste at fast food joints is inconsistent location to location and day to day?"

Anyways, .........
