I have no real opinion on this,
I just want to comment,
I have watched several police take downs over the years and this guy kind of got off lucky.

One guy being chased by police, the worst incident I witnessed of a few, tripped and went head first into a brick wall.
Two police officers standing over him yelling " get up, get up". When the guy couldn't he was passed out the law proceeded to kick the shit out of him.

But its pretty much a given, If the cops have to chase you and put you on the ground their going to hit you once or twice. From what I have seen anyway.

punching a guy while he is down and restrained is never acceptable, striking force is not part of restraint
the guy was down but not fully restrained yet...

yup, I read a bit in the paper yesturday how Calgary police are taking courses to recognize mental illness and how to deal with it.
Now if only Conservative supporters would learn to recognize mental illness. :pound::pound::pound:

Conservative supporters have learned to recognize mental illness....and that is why we dont vote for candidates
offered up by the liberals or the NDP.

Consider that pussywimp Dion in the Federal election with his "green shift" platform....we in Alberta heard that
before in the 1980's when it was called the National Energy Program.
