Exclamation My Dogs Feet Are Frozen!

Okay so I have these two little chihuahuas and they need to go out every morning.

Well I have little booties for them.....you know the boots UGGS...well they have DUGGS for dogs which my babies wear. Okay yeah I know its dorky but its cute and its funny how they walk when they kick up their legs like that cause they can't feel a thing......they look so cute in matching outfits and booties.....

So I take out my little babies who are like 3 pounds each and when I come back.....their toes were like frozen together cause I forgot to put on the booties!!!!

Be careful you ladies with the mini mini dogs cause they literally FREEZE!

They're all good right now I think cause I put them in a warm bath but I'm telling you...I FREAKED OUT!!!! Frozen dogs???? Those are my babies!

This snow is really cramping my style. Even now my dogs' style. So its UGGS for me and DUGGS for the babies for days. Blah!

What ever happened to flip flops? At least I get to wear my stilletos at the Fox Den. Maybe the Den will let me bring my little poochies. But no stillettos for them......we can't have any accidents.

My chihuahuas like to sunbathe in the summer and I am convinced that they want a vacation now. This weather SUCKS!

Maybe I should get like a indoor tanning bed for my house.

Oh well. Just be careful with your little ones ladies if you have them and are walking them.....its COLD out there. Good thing I'm hot. Just kidding.

    Talking Believe it or not...

I actually know that for hypothermia you never put people in a hot bath or anything because you never want to heat their external parts ie arms/legs....cause it could be detremental to warming the core....the imprortant part. My first job ever was a sailing instructor for kids so we needed to learn that stuff. See? I do know stuff!

They're all good now..playing and being bad and whatever.

As far as the outfits...THEY'RE SO DAMN CUTE and the booties are hilarious! We all match so if you see a blondie with 2 little chihuahuas in Yaletown, all of us in Uggs and Duggs...pull over and say hi! We love attention...them more than me......ok....its a tie.

Thanks for the input though. I love dog lovers. No I promise not to suntan them. My littlelest one though lays in the sun on my deck and suntans himself when its hot and sunny. He's crazy.......like a FOX! Get it? Totally Touchable Kevin Kisses Frozen "Fox". He's going to the dog show (and I'm showing him) at the end of the month and his full name is Kevin Kisses (gotta have a two word name to be in a show). Weird to name your dog Kevin but I figure I have no kids so I'll name them people names. And dress them funny. Mean Mean Mommy....thats my show name!

    SMOOCH you doggie luvers you!

My dog is a 80 pd lab cross and the snow in Surrey came up to her belly and she still demanded 2 walks yesterday. Kind of funny seeing her jump each move because the snow was too high to walk.
I'd love to put 8 inches up you, but I won't fold it in half even for you!

I have a 20lb Shitzu Bichon Cross and had to go drag his ass from the yard last night wading through a foot of snow. His majesty didn't want to come inside. He's been out in the yard all morning running around like a raped ape.

Then I realise his little hammer gets like frozen too! Do they make hammer-cozies for dogs????

I mean this damn dog cost me $2000 to buy cause he's so damn small and he's being bred pretty soon I can't have his HAMMER fall off and then he's an IT!

Flippin snow. Okay....I'm bundling them up and taking them out again......if my dog's cock falls off I'm gonna be PISSED!

You could always put a lipstick cover on his hammer that should protect him so that he can do his duty cause......worse than it falling off in the snow would be it breaking off in his new girlfriend!! LOL

You could also use a glad freezer bag.....hey they prevent freezer burn right lmao.....the fact that I went away and thought about this and came back and added it, is a little disturbing.....oh well!!

The Inuit put boots on their sled dogs. Don't know about the matching outfits though ...

That's because they were working dogs in like -20 to -40 degree weather for hours it sure wasn't a fashion statement.

Growing up in Saskatchewan our dogs were outside all the time and were fine mind you we built them fully insulated dog houses with a heated floor and a wind buffer in front of the door but during the day they would wonder all over the yard doing their thing!!

Booties and matching outfits.... that is practically unhumane. Ugh :|

LAG's comment about the homeless guy in the sleeping bag is pretty disturbing, though, and I think it puts things in perspective...

Everybody seems to be afraid to say this because you're hot... but you are irresponsible. You FORGOT to protect a weak, vulnerable animal against potentially lethal cold? Courts wouldn''t accept that as an excuse if it were children that got frostbite, yet you call them your babies. Not very smart. Chihuahuas have literally NO protection for this kind of weather. They probably shouldn't be taken out at all in these conditions. Paying $2000 for them to breed is also pretty irresponsible, but that's another story.

Depending on how long it was before you noticed, it may be in yours and your dogs best interest to still see a vet. There is still the possibility of slight nerve damage. Similar to when a person gets frostbite. You might not even know there is any damage. I hope your dog(s) doing fine.

Talking OKAY CHILL.....and that shouldn't be hard

I'm not known for being non-extreme.

The babies are NOT FROZEN but they had little snow balls on them. If anyone is an animal lover it is me. I walk my dogs....pamper the crap out of my dogs and would never EVER endanger them so thanks for the advice but these dogs get treated like GOLD.

They have snow jackets and boots and everything under the sun to keep them safe so trust me.....there is no need to trip out and call me irresponsible.

In fact, my thread is to REMIND people with the teacup dogs to be careful because little dogs need special care in cold weather.

God. When can this board take a joke???? You think my chihuahuas have frozen cocks?????

    One word.....JOKE.
