For me, it's hard to choose. Every location has prying eyes:

Fantasy: strip mall; A&W and Taco Belch and their drive-thrus full of soccer moms. Rear parking is viewed by several residences.

Penthouse: Second Cup next door is owned by a cop and is well-patronized by his co-workers. Also next door is a Club Fit and a comic book store. Across the street is a 24-hour Internet cafe. A-Channel is a block away, so you risk getting filmed entering the front door while Dawnie is forcasting the weather. Rear entrance may have the occasional homeless person shifting through the garbage, or a male hooker on 104 St.

Eurospa: shares a busy strip mall with Tim Horton's, Subway, porn shop, an East Indian grocery, and a vet. No rear entrance.

Cloud Nine: a large warehouse-type building shared by a strip bar and a Chinese restaurant that was once known as The Chef's Table; Lube City on the other side of the parking lot. No rear entrance.

XTC: deserted strip mall save for a liquor store and a rather unsavory drinking place named "Better Be Rock", which likely doesn't play any music created after 1990. There is also a Mickey D's in the vicinity that's currently under re-construction. There is a rear entrance - but in such a bad area of town, why take that chance?

Deja Vu: large strip mall across the street from the Mayfield, so there is a good chance of running into your parents who are attending the dinner theatre; strip mall includes a convenience store, registry office and a strip bar. Apparently there's a rear door.

Cove: across from the pseudo-country bar known as Cowboys, their thick-necked, black-T-shirted bouncers, and their clientele of too-young-to-handle-their-liquor teenagers; next door to a convenience store. Rear entrance, I believe.

Head-To-Toe: in an apartment retail floor across 109 St from the Legislature (makes you wonder about their regular clientele); lots of balcony dwellers; lots of pedestrians to and from the river valley; LRT entrance nearby. Rear entrance faces 109 St and more balcony dwellers.

Supreme: Hidden within one of the uncountable strip malls on Calgary Trail.

I'm jealous I didn't start this thread!

From your list, here's my take: bad from a privacy point of view:

Supreme:
Fantasy:
Penthouse:
Deja Vu:
Eurospa:

Privacy is good:

Cloud Nine: Parking lot is usually deserted low traffic count.
XTC: Back door
Cove: Day time is slow
Head-To-Toe: Park in the visitor area, stroll around the back, nobody can really see you. Tuck in the back entry way you might be going to the place next door.

On the above and the ones below I by no means recommend the studio, only the location. Now for my additions:

Good:

Prestige: Very good after 5, very industrial.
Sweet 69: See Prestige
Calgary Trail Studio: busy road, cars moving too fast to recognize you or see where you are going.
Aristocrats: Better at night, day has the bird seed store plus another shop on other side.
KamaSutra: Back door, on the street parking. Day time has an office neighbour.

Hollywood: Day bad, Night deserted
Kingsway: street parking, not overly busy street.
Sinderellas: 3 doors? Street parking not many neighbours.
Swedish Touch: On the street but lots of parking and a pretty dead street.
Heaven on Earth (Southern Comfort) : Lots of street parking, door at the corner, easy to slide inside.
Velvet Touch: Lots of street parking, easy to slip into.
Last but not Least: Wildrose: Very Industrial.

Bad:
Southside Studio: Optical Place next door, busy area at night
99 St: Busy Strip Mall

Basically anyplace where street parking is easy to get and does not have a really busy neighbour is pretty good in my books.

Man they gotta put one in my aprtment building...even the fuzz dont come here :)

Good posts though. I have never been to some of the studios and after reading this may not now.

A little trick I use or used was carry a napsack or briefcase in with you. If you are stopped by a friend/co-worker/w/e you can say a "client" works here and you are dropping off papers or something to that effect. I had ran into a bud from school and said I am selling pot to a cousin that incidentally works here.

Or suck it up, you are an adult with needs and who cares what others think. As long as it aint your boss or wife WGAF.

As far as location goes another good one is Wildrose...sure it's a little off the beaten path, but it's a little off the beaten path. There's really nobody around that would give you a second look.

Colonel Dave!

I said it before and I'll say it again everyone, and I mean everyone who wants sex pays for it in one way or the other!!!! These people who snub their noses at us are hipocrites, and probably never get laid, cause they feel like they are to good to do something about it. They feel it should just come to them. Wives, girlfriends, friends, lovers or SP'S. It does not matter.

Try Pleasure Point on a Thursday night when the boys from the Harley shop have their BBQ set up about 10 feet from the door. To top it off when the parking lot is pretty empty at night, everyone that stops at the lights on the yellowhead can see who is parked there.

Before I started this hobby I never noticed them or even knew about them. So I think the only people who drive by or walk by don't have a clue. I think it's probably the neighbours/tenants of the building that might catch you. And they probably turn a blind eye otherwise they would have moved. Just like porno shops.

Here, and not there!!
I know that privacy is very important for you hobbiests. I fully understand it, as I like my privacy also. Question: If you run into somebody you know at a studio...how scared are you BOTH that the other may say something to "someone" else...and then have to explain how they know?
I would die if I ran into any of my family or any one who knows my family....but I have full confidence that not a word would be said for fear of that ominous question "HOW DO YOU KNOW?"
I think the worst thing in this world is paranoia...it will destroy ya!! I am a full on paranoid freak! LOL PS: this isn't to belittle anyones fears of privacy or confidentiality. I have the same fears...it was just a thought that came to mind.

You know...

..... most of my close friends know on some level about my hobbying. Maybe not the extent. Only one of my family members knows and that is my sister. I would just like it to remain secret from my mom. Other than that I don't care who knows. Although I do not go broad casting it.

I don't think I'd be scared about the other guy telling someone else about me. Chances are that the vice versa holds true...that he wouldn't want me blabbing about his escapades. In fact, I think I would be inclined to compare notes with him on the MPs and SPs....y'know, just like what we do here!

In answer to Kitt's question, fear of running into someone I know inside the studio is bigger than fear of who's seeing me enter. Just a bit of a beef, went into Fantasy the other night with the hope of running into Ariel (who I've heard soooo much about lately). There were *four* gentlemen in there. Two in the waiting room, one in the front lobby, and another walked in about 30 seconds after me. Very uncomfortable for everyone, eyes averted, reading magazines, but jostling to make sure they're the first ones to talk to/see the girls.

Didn't stay, and quite honestly will probably not be back after that experience. At least never again in the evening. Just not interested in hanging around a place that has that many people waiting, and you know the service is going to be rushed as well.

That's why I like places like Penthouse where's there's also a separate back exit that you can quietly and discreetly slip out of after the girl lets you know that the coast is clear.

Thanks Colonel. I've been to Fantasy a few times before, and that's why I went back :)

I usually do make appointments with sp's I like before going to anyplace, but I was already in the car, in the area, had a fat wad of cash in my wallet, and just thought I'd take my luck and drop in. Sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you don't. C'est la vie.

Ended up heading over to Artistocrat instead for a very very pleasurable session with Eva, but that review's already in another thread.
