The Hamster would like to give advice to new and even some amateur pooners. If you decide to take the plunge (this applies even more to streetwalkers) the Hamster has one recommendation for you: check the girls nails and teeth. If both look healthy, then she is unlikely to be a junky.

Saw Trish down on the track around Jackson and Cordova, man she wears this short skirt and jean jacket, she has the legs for the job. Unfortunately I think the smack is getting to her she looked a bit more "like she needs a vaction" (at the betty ford clinic) than usual.

Oh well Gap toothed ho is always good to go and she is known for short skirts too. Blonde and tall with nice figure she can be found around Cordova and Hawks, I think it is.

Escorting for the dentist.

What if she is just saving up for some dental work? Cosmetic dental surgery. Can we show a little bit of mercy to the SP, SW, MP? :(

Good advise, in fact if you go to a doctors office for a general checkup, they always look at teeth and nails as a sign of overall health.

I mean, c'mon, we all know - that as soon as you have something as ugly as HIV or Hep C - you only have about 30 days until you turn into Attilla the Hun.
Not true, Magic Johnson has had HIV for over a decade and by looking at him, there's no way you could tell (note however, I haven't seen a recent pic ie in the last couple months).

Didn't Pam Anderson have Hep? Not sure what type, but she looked good during her illness.

Intelligence takes on many forms

Broolyn:

Don't confuse education with intelligence. I have one of those degrees you covet and it is the street smarts (that you seem to have) that help a lot more in life.

If you are doing a Ph.D. for anything other than personal satisfaction, not worth it. It is a slog.

Just an opinon from a former bookworm in the stacks of too many libraries!

reality is not an option, we live it 24-7 why when we are spending that kind of cash do we want anything close to the reality we are trying to evade. Besides college degrees are a dime a dozen.

I was thinking of getting a Hamster do these tips apply too? I really enjoy watching them run of the little wheel and through those pipe things you can build for them. Should I lift their coat and check their skin for scale and warts.

Actually...

Actually, degrees are not a dime a dozen. Approximately, 20% of the popluation in Canada has a Bachelors degree in whatever. Then, only 1 % has a Masters and 0.1% has a PhD. Unfortunately, employers seem to care more about experience than education, which is why we have so many morons in the workplace. I truly believe the large majority of lousy workers in the office setting are highly uneducated and simply lack basic core competencies.

Eg. I have a friend who makes 70 K a yr and the guy barely passed high school, meanwhile my friend with a Masters makes 13 an hour...something is terribly wrong here...

I guess, anyone who wanted to purse a high education should have moved to England, where education is highly valued...

What's your friend do for 70K a year and high school cert.

I know a few that are making over 100K. They to don't have the education, just put in a lot of years working for one company moving up the ladder.

Someone made a statement that common sense and intelligence are different. I might add that education is an independant attribute as well. I have met high school dropouts with plenty of one or both of the attributes and I have met university grads that need remedial training on the deep fryer at McDees. Unfortunately experience is independant as well, and many people are promoted to their level of incompetence based on their performance at a lower level to which they were better suited. As for University grads working for $13/hr and highschool grads working for $70K/yr, people only earn what someone else is willing to pay them. If you think you are worth more, don't settle for less. the reallity of what you are worth will kick in when you succeed and get a better job, or when UI runs out and you become a frequent customer at the food bank.

Bottom Line

My friend who makes 70 K works at Safeway as a glorified shelf stocker (assistant manager).

My friend who makes 13 an hour is an Accountant

Sounds like Canada...

Wow - a deep conversation on PERB - head shake time again

Reddog:

You are correct re. stats and while it was a slog, it has been financially rewarding too in my particular situation. I still contend that OTJ (on the job) smarts are key. What happens is the qualities to which you refer make the OTJ learning curve faster for those people hence management, leadership rolls, etc. come easier - I guess.

And, I agree, the irony is not only great it is fitting for a forum like PERB.

I never went to those England universities, but I hear that they are quite difficult academically. Especially for those who are coming from the much easier American school system.

In my own imagination!!
Education??

Wow this board has progressed, do we need a PHD to post now. I have a freind who has three(countem) three degrees but has to work in the oilfield to make enough money to support his family. Me on the other hand I am a chef. I make dick for cash but I will never be outa work. Ah but at least I have worked around the world. Some perks heh! To tie this to SP's I have seen many in foreign countries as well. (another perk).

This thread doesn't belong on EReview Page - oh well - more drivel from moi

Freaky:

It is not about what you make in life, it is what you make out of life with what you do. I chose a career that allows me freedom to have enough to have various hobbies and that includes enough travel to try those hobbies in various locations. That is what education does to some degree, it gives you that choice. At same time, lots of other ways to get there - perhaps not always as easy.

To the original note on thread - teeth and nails, and even hair and skin condition, often speak to overall health and general attitude toward one's self. When drugs start to take over, personal hygiene can suffer LOTS. Some drug use, e.g. smoking cr*ck, destroys tooth enamel and stains fingers so spotting heavy habitual users doesn't require a medical degree.

As one who doesn't like (and never has had) a girlfriend to even smoke, I tend to lean that way with all SPs as well. To some, not a big issue. All about personal choice.

Without all the psycho babble going on and some people trying to be insulting masked as being witty, what it all comes down to is having a good time in life and to hell with what other people think of you, because at the end of the day its you that has to look at yourself in the mirror and be happy at what you see. If your not then you have issues but you dont take it ut on other people.
