Seeing as I am in chatting mood today.

What are your opinions with respect to SPs (and/or clients) who smoke?

It seems to be a stat that is only mentioned by a few non-smoking SPs. To me, it would be more of a determining factor than age, measurements and cup size, which as all hobbyists know, are less than accurately reported. As long as they are close, I really don't pay a lot of attention. Smoking is more of an issue to me, because the stench can get in your clothes and stay there all day. And in Victoria, we can't use the excuse of having been in the bar with the boys as they are non-smoking establishments now.

I get the feeling that there are probably are larger proportion of SPs that smoke than in the general population which is now around 17% in BC and dropping except among teenage girls.

Over to you...

I can only guess that teenage girls smoke as part of peer pressure & i know some do it to stave off eating...& then voila! she gets hooked!

Boring to wait around for a John.

It is so boring waiting around 12 hours at SU or CL for the next high-expectations / negative review writing pooner to arrive and ask for Greek, BBBJ till CIM! Can I have a cigarette? :)

Attitude = Everything

Oldschool:

Great attitude. Sure that comes through in the sessions and why there are in this world the thing called negative reviews.

Anyone with such an attitude should go have lunch with GLee or Carmen or similar and see if an escorting 101 course cannot be obtained.

P.S. Smoking is a HUGE turnoff.

I didn't smoke and I still got a negative review!

I can see it now. Legions of oppressed SPs in major anger. "I didn't smoke and I still got a negative review!
Can't pay the rent, can't afford groceries, trying to kick the drug habit, praying that the pooner won't be too fat, too hairy, too cheap, too smelly, too disgusting. I'm feeling like crap, I'll cut out a cigarette for this pooner. And I still got a negative review.

Easy to get jaded in this business. :(

I have noticed a couple of references to the first and only ever negative review I recently submitted where the smoking issue came up. Suddenly I am the current Axeman. Smoking wasn't the only reason for the negative review. I try to be as accurate as possible when I submit a review and previous reviews have been concurred with by other posters.

If I had any ulterior motive with starting this thread, it would be to motivate a few more providers to indicate that they offer a smoke free enviroment.

Smokers

I don't smoke and definately prefer non-smoking SPs. If she does smoke hopefully she doesn't smoke right before a session.

In a business that places a high value on youth and physical beauty smoking makes no sense to me. Studies have shown that smoking can increase the rate of ageing by up to 40% thereby cutting a SPs prime earning years drastically. Anti-smoking campaigns geared toward youth should be centered on the affects smoking has on appearance rather than health, since many young people seem to think they are immortal.

kissing a smoker

Kissing a smoker is like kissing, or licking, an ashtray. Horrible. I think Alexandria spelled Shakespeare wrong. On the other hand, some women can even smoke with their pussy. :(

I haven't smoked since I was a teenager... however, I do understand that smokers tend to use the burning tobacco inhalant to sooth their nerves. Therefore, if they want to smoke on their dime, its neither here nor there, as long as they don't try to hug me with the darn thing in their hand (I always imagine my waist-long hair will go up in flames - paranoia).

oh... and if I do have a pet peeve... its clients that continue to smoke whilst I'm giving cbj. That's just rude. But... whatever...

Smoke Sucks!!!

I detest smoke, and I applaud Victoria for not allowing smoking in public places! It is so wonderful to be able to be at a strip club or a bar without smokers detracting from my enjoyment! I can't stand it on clothes, on bodies, or on breath! Smoke sucks!!!

holier than thou people really suck to but that is neither here nor there, what is amussing though is that we participate in a hobby where safety is a main issue(i.e. condoms) well in a recent study done condoms were safe in less then 70% of the time i beleave the true number was 64%of the time. Heres a thought youll have clean lungs but your dick will fall off.

P.S. Vancouver has one of the fastest growin H.I.V. positive populations in North America.

What the hell does this have to do with smoking? Is it also amusing to you that the sky will still be blue but your "dick will fall off"? Your attempt to make an analogy is beyond weak! ---Moe

As a non smoker, cheers to Victoria for not allowing smoking in public places. I wish some of the other guteless cities (the politicans in particular) would follow Victoria's lead.

I think generally, if a person has to smoke, I think it's just common courtesy and sense to ask first if they mind before lighting it up.

adios

actually i do contribute to the federal campaign which is a unite way charity. I couldnt agree with you more, the point that i was trying to make the politicians take the easy way out, they ban smoking because its easy and its cheap, but when its time to make the hard choices they are no where to be found they run for cover, then when they do make the hard choices people scream bloody murder.

HIV because of sex? or drug use?? there's always a story behind every statistic.

Stop smoking with Tobaco control.

"Make a difference & donate to one of the many charities.... Jack Nicholson did in About Schmidt!" I saw that movie, it was a plot device. The care about something other than yourself plot device.

There already is a program to stop smoking. Tobaco Control Program of the Healthy Environments and Consumer Safety Branch. Is it working? :(
Just unleash them on the Victoria SPs. :)

Just Say No (To Forced Smoke Inhalation)!

Who is bothering anyone? If not wanting to breathe in smoke when I'm out in public is bothering, then I will continue to "bother". I consider my health to be one of the most important things in the world! ---Moe

You are showing your hypocrosy(sp) you want to dictate to me what is your right(by taking away my right) but then you whine and bitch about some right winger trying to legislate morality. In my eyes its the same thing, where soes this slippery slope stop.
