I recently moved here, and wanted to try an agency similar to the ones back home. After reading some reviews I decided on IB because they have theme rooms. I got there, and was unimpressed by the phone girl. She was wearing jeans and a sweater, and was on the phone to her boyfriend or something. I was further unimpressed to learn that my lady would be late. 20 minutes later she arrives. I was lead through a dark room with painted purple and what looked like green carpet underlay on the walls I was led up some rickety stairs where the insulation was showing through the walls. This further unimpressed me. Upstairs looked horrible. They hadn't finished drywalling one of the walls, and there was a counter/sink against the wall. A huge pile of empty beer bottles/cans was just visable as I came up the stairs. The room wasn't so hot either. Literally. There was no heater and no blanket, and it was COLD! I really enjoyed the lady I saw, even though she was late. Now, I have heard about this agency going through renos, but seriouslly, havn't they been doing renos for a month or two? How long does it honestly take to slap up some drywall and paint? Can anyone help me out and recomend a nice, classy agency and/or a pretty, shapely brunette/redhead/blonde?

Go for the independents - try Paige Adams, Amy, Gillian and Jenna. Go to bcdarlings.com to see the last three. I always avoid the agencies for incalls.

You forgot to name the SP?

Sorry you had a bad time Clam Digger. Out of curiosity, what was the name of the girl that you saw? I know you were on a roll, ranting and describing the unfinished décor, that you forgot to mention the SP’s name.

Oldschool -
Sorry, I was ranting and raving. The lady I saw was Maria. Very nice personality, pretty face, beautiful hair, good body. I would definately see her again, only if she was at a different agency or indapendant.
gentleman -
Even so, they must be loosing business because of it. I mean, they've lost mine. I wonder how many other clients won't come back because of it. Or, am I just being a picky old bastard for having standards and expecting class?

Clam Digger, if you are putting out your hard earned dollars, you deserve a much better experience than you got at IB. Personally I never use an agency - just too much hastle.

Okay, I know I am not really a part of this thread, but I figured I would enlighten you guys. There are two owners to IB. They are partners in more than business. The male is the one who is "doing renos". (I put them in quotations to further the point that they have not really become an actuality.) They are being slack assed with renos, no doubt, but the male has a day job, Donna goes to school during the day, and they have children. Understood they could come in once or twice a week for a night and get the things done alot faster, but some people just don't have the motivation to do anymore than is barely necessary. That is part of the reason why I left. They have been opened for a while now, and still hardly anything has been done. I was getting tired of making excuses for why they haven't done anything around there. I offered many times to help, but no one took me up on my word. Even in the beginning, they were slow. They had their location for about a month or so before they even opened, and still by opening day, all that was done was three rooms were painted, there were sparse decorations, and barely enough sheets. They had a good idea, they just are lacking in follow-through. I wish them luck, and I hope that answers all your queries fella's.......

Lots of love

Renovations guy is the owner?

What if the renovation guy is secretly installing hidden cameras, for himself. His own private movies. :(
Miss Pandora should have done a detective sweep for bugs and pinhole cameras, or wireless cameras.

Nice burn of Doofus, whistler. No, the co-owner is a man, Donna's partner. He is the one that is supposedly doing these renos. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing being done, and no one is doing anything about the fact that nothing is being done. The two owners are lacking in the will and motivation to finish what they started. As someone who was there, not much work has been done, and I fully agree with the popular consensus of IB's apparent lack of effort into their business.

wow! yer a fucking idiot!
I think IB has done a remarkable good job. They're a startup company that will experience some growing pains....and mark my words, they have the potential to become an exclusive and prestigous club.

I know Donna's heart was in the right place when she risked her money, time and effort to start IB.

And lest you all forget, at the time CL became dysfunctional, many of the girls were lost with no where to turn. Donna provided a flexible alternative with high hopes of creating something special - for both clients and escorts alike...and at the same time trying to avoid the mistakes that were the downfall of Classy Ladies. Donna has already hurdled many obstacles that would have frustrated even the most seasoned manager. I'm sure the reconstructon of IB could be faster and smoother, but at this point Donna's more concerned with the well being of her staff then the reno's.

Donna is a wonderfully easy going person. I only wish her all the best.

Here
They are not ready to be open yet....IMHO

CDigger:

Must agree with you/Pandora 100% re. the atmosphere. Was in Victoria for a four day hearing and thought I would try out the "new" thing.

I see Hip Doo showing a good degree of empathy - perhaps he knows of more personal reasons why they are having start up problems but from what I could see, it would have taken less than $300 and a few hours (less than four) to get things in better shape.

The effort an establishment takes in creating an atmosphere that puts you at ease is directly proportionate to what they thing of their clients - IMHO.

The session was brief and girl seemed as preoccupied by mess as I was. If weather had been better, would have helped.

Hipster, you are forgetting you are biased because you work for them. In all truth and honesty, I have no grudges towards Donna and the un-named male partner. (Note that my posts are respectful and stick to unbiased facts.) So you can go tell them that. The truth is, Hipster, they could be putting alot more effort into the place. Drywall isn't overly expensive, and it takes about an hour with two slow poeple to drywall a room. One holds it, one nail-guns it. Donna is a nice woman, as long as things don't threaten her, I have born witness to her bitchiness (and pettiness) and I too wish her all the best. She is not concerned with the well being of her staff. If you would read all the posts I have put up about why I left IB, and take a hard look at the situation without taking sides, you would see that there was no reason for me to be treated the way I was at IB. I was the only one other than my best friend who was there to help in the beginning. We got paint everywhere and spent hours helping them prepare for opening. The other girls started some rumors (the content of which I don't know and don't really care to know) about me, and I got fed up with it. When nothing was done about it when brought to Donna's attention, I started losing my respect for her. If she would listen to the zealous rumors of the other girls why wouldn't she listen to me when I was trying to find a solution to them. I compromised with her and decided not to work on my best friend's phone shift, and still the rumors flew. I have nothing against them except for both their laziness to follow through with what they started, and the fact that they are obviously taking sides in the matter of the gossiping. She led us to believe that IB would not be like CL. Look at it..... the same girls, half of which are on some kind of hard drug; the same drama and politics; and Donna even said specifically that she wouldn't hire anyone like Ella or Jody...... So why are they working there I ask?? I understand that we all don't get along, and I hold no malice towards anyone there. But I do lose respect for people who don't follow through with their word.
And for the guys, I am certainly not afraid to get my hand dirty like some gals. I grew up in a logging camp. I like big trucks (ford or nothing), I like power tools (inside and outside of the bedroom), and I like buliding things. I'm certainly not afraid to break a nail. Unless I hit a solid stud.....

How much leadership is there in these places?

Hipster
"And lest you all forget, at the time CL became dysfunctional, many of the girls were lost with no where to turn. "

You make it sound like they lost their silver back gorilla leader, or mother duckling. So without just one person, the madame, are these places ready to crumble?

Frankly, whether or not they make it depends on three things.
1) The clients willingness to continue to see them
2) The girls providing good service without complaint
3) The management finishing what they started

SP's are fine without a boss. The boss needs us. We are the business. CL was going down half because of Vikki's abuse of substances, and half because of the poor quality of the girls working there.

Never been to E+R, so I can't say. But I do know that both E+R and SU make schedules for you. Which I don't like at all. I hate staying up later than midnight. I have always worked the day shift of the work week since I first started. People know I work days. I can't go switch to nights. That's why I never worked at E+R and why I didn't work long at SU. Vicky at SU changed my schedule without telling me and I wasn't allowed to book on for some unknown reason. It wasn't worth it for me to pursue, so I quit. I have heard the girls at E+R get catty with each other if you do fs. I don't know why, its not their choice. But that is just heresay, and it may have no truth to it whatsoever. SU has a not bad location. The rooms are themed in colours. One burgundy room and one blue room. Same problems with girls being catty and underhanded. That's about my knowledge of those agencies.

Pandora, if you don't like follow the schedule, why don't you be independent? I think you just need a phone number and/or email address to start the business. If you don't have a incall place, you can start with outcall. You can also share a incall place with another SP or even share the hotel cost with your client. Based on the response to your post here, I think you must make a good business.

Please let me know when you have a business trip in Van.

I have been giving serious consideration to going indy. I think if it does happen, it won't be until at least August. I have alot going on in my personal life, and I don't want to take on too much. I've talked VE into doing a Vancouver trip. We are thinking early in July. I will keep you posted..... And pm me, I have something to ask you.

Running an agency schedule.

Pandora
“Drywall...One holds it, one nail-guns it.”

Actually it shreds if you nail gun it. I prefer to use the high RPM drill and screws.

Back to the thread

Pandora:
“that both E+R and SU make schedules for you. Which I don't like at all. I hate staying up later than midnight. I have always worked the day shift of the work week since I first started. People know I work days. I can't go switch to nights.”

Uh, but if an agency doesn’t run a schedule doesn’t that mean that no one will want to work late nights? If they are crawling with girls, don’t they have to separate them somehow into schedules? Don’t they make the new girls work the undesirable
shifts first? And then work their way up?

I thought that these girls, according to Hipster Doofus, were allegedly supposed to be undisciplined and needed schedules?

Imagine if some PERBerts were street cops (yeah , right) or firemen, or whatever and an employer forced us to work nights. Some jobs, you have to work nights on rotation.
