HEY CHINA, CUT IT OUT WITH CAGING AND KILLING LIVE ANIMALS AT FOOD MARKETS!

STOP EATING BATS and SNAKES and ANTEATERS and OTHER CREATURES THAT HARBOUR OR TRANSMIT CORONAVIRUSES!

All the Covid-19 stuff I hear and see is just dealing with the symptoms and carnage. We need to stop the root cause and call out the assholes that perpetuate dangerous food practices that lead to new epidemics and pandemics. The risks were known, but not dealt with. This is one in a series of outbreaks of China-origin viruses, and they won’t stop until the arrogant stupidity stops.

We need bats to eat mosquitos and snakes to eat rodents. Leave them the fuck off your dinner plate and out of your soup bowl. Stop eating everything on the planet that walks, flies, crawls, or wriggles. You are playing russian roulette with global health. Clearly. Cut it the fuk out!

Oh, and while you’re at it, this would be a good time to stop cutting the fins off sharks and dumping them back in the ocean. They are the ocean’s cleanup crew.

Temporary ban? Get real China. It was already illegal but clearly unenforced. Make it a permanent prison-sentence ban, and raid the supply chain. For Ever!!!!

You gonna pay back all the national bail-outs, health care costs, economic losses, and compensate the families of all the victims that died around the world? Ya, right. Let’s get some US lawyers on your ass for wrongful death, depraved indifference, and economic harm.

I’m calling you out, you arrogant fuckers. There, I said it.

I saw an article in the so called wet markets, they’re so gross. Guy who wrote the article said you can smell them way before you can see them. No question the wet markets should be banned, barbaric is what they are. I would say reparations are in order for the massive health and economic meltdown the fucking things have casused.

Making them pay reparations is nowhere near enough punishment! They need to know how goddamn serious this is. Not only reparations. That's right, we need to round up and send back all those dirty/filthy/disgusting iPhones they made for us. I have it on good authority that some of those iPhones entered the country illegally! And if that doesn't send them the message, we totally need to stop selling them our canola seed, iron ore, wood products, etc. - they need to know we are serious!!! Not only that, we're going to make them build a wall. They're going to pay for it too! It will be a great wall - and we're going to make them call it the Great Wall of...wait a minute?!?!?

All kidding aside, I couldn't tell if your post was satire or not. If it was satire, I decided to add a bit of my own! If it wasn't satire, LOL at your "Let's get some US lawyers on your ass..." statement. Jackie Chiles to the rescue! LOL

There's a video going around with a narrator who sounds very knowledgeable.
Terrible living conditions, cages and cages of live animals stacked on top of each other, whatever fluids come out from the animals in the higher cages drops and drips down into the caged beneath.
So unsanitary. I don't have a problem with eating different meats/foods but not like this.

They hack up the live animals right in front of you if you want.

I had to turn my head away.

And are we really sure this didn't come from the Wuhan biolab?

I'm not saying Covid-19 was a genetically engineered bioweapon. So far most research I've read that's been done on the virus doesn't support that theory. But not all viruses studied in these labs are bioengineered.

Occam's razor... the simplest explanation is usually the most probable. Did covid-19 escape from the lab, or was it brewed in the public petri dish known as the wet market?

I think either explanation is equally plausible.

Either way, I feel the CCP is responsible.

It was temporarily banned after SARS too. The wealthy still had unspoken access to it of course, and eventually they just lifted the ban altogether. I suspect something similar will happen again this time. Cultural shifts are difficult, even after pandemics.

In the months before this COVID outbreak, China's pork supply was devastated by a huge bout of swine flu - killed half their pork herds or more. (You may remember they lifted the ban on Canadian pork because of it.)
Makes me wonder if that caused more Chinese people to eat exotic meat, thus causing the COVID outbreak by bringing an infected animal to market that otherwise would not have been.

Here's what a wet market in China really looks like (note: not gory so relax and watch)

Just as drug-addicted street walkers aren't representative of all SP's, the clean market in the video, and the extreme ones selling bats aren't representative of all wet markets, but they exist.

I was recently in wet markets in Vietnam, and while exotic animals weren't sold, skinned dogs were widely available. All the creatures, including birds and seafood were kept in ridiculously poor conditions. Those markets are the ones in bigger cities where Westerners visit. I can only imagine the ones in rural or smaller cities, and in places where corruption would keep any monitoring away.

And these markets thrive all over Asia, Africa, South America and in ethnic enclaves in some Western countries.

Look how many health violations are issued for restaurants in BC where oowners are lax on sanitation.

And does anyone remember just a few years ago when places in Vancouver's Chinatown were stopped from cutting pieces off live frogs and toads so that the meat was freshest?
