I think anyone that needs to poon during this crisis has a much bigger problem than the virus and perhaps is in need of professional help for addiction. But hey, that's none of my business.

If you do partake, take steps to lower your risk of transmission.

It's a respiratory illness so there is risk just from breathing near someone. And that risk will increase significantly with any exchange of bodily fluids.

I agree but as I originally stated some people are still going to visit sp's
Like it or not
L.L should be closed but I doubt that's likely soon either...

We can try our best to explain relationally to the fools of the world the purpose of self isolating / social distancing etc. You either get it or you don't.
The ones that get it, Kudo's and Thank You:)
The ones that don't , Karma can be a fickle bitch . Just goes to show not a safe provider, client or person. So good luck with that. I hope you don't infect or kill to many innocent people cause of your selfishness. If that's considered shaming . So be it. Tired of pussy footing around and trying not to offend. Just keeping it real.
Anyways I'm out. Doing the ultimate social isolation adventure in them mountains .

If you understand how the virus spreads then relatively safe sex should be possible.

- You can only be infected when the virus enters through your mucus membranes. Wikipedia has interesting info on mucus membranes. Skin does not allow infection.

- Spread is by droplets in the air. These droplets do not float in the air. They drop within 2 meters of the person who fires them out with a cough or sneeze. As long as neither party sneezes, coughs or touches their face there would be little risk.

- The virus lasts hours on a porous surface and a day or two on a hard surface. Infection would require active transfer from the surface to your mucus membrane. (Touch the door knob then your eye, nose or mouth.)

- The virus has not been found in semen, vaginal fluid or urine. It's a respiratory virus and lives in the respiratory tract. It has been found in feces. Your respiratory and digestive tracts are connected.

- If both parties wear a surgical mask there would be little risk to either party or the space they share.

- Here is the "sex with covid-19 advice from New York City https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/imm/covid-sex-guidance.pdf

All the usual disclaimers apply. YMMV.

• You should avoid close contact — including sex — with anyone outside your household. If you do have sex with others, have as few partners as possible.
• If you usually meet your sex partners online or make a living by having sex, consider taking a break from in-person dates. Video dates, sexting or chat rooms may be options for you.

So unless you got your favourite provider to sit out the quarantine with you, you should probably not have sex.

Might as well suggest people just hold their breath throughout the session. Coughing and sneezing and touching their face is what people do. How do you suggest they just not do either of these.
If someone wants to take the risk then fine its their health but lets not pretend the solution is so simple.

Surgical masks lose effectiveness with moisture. Generally there is heavy breathing during sex, so the surgical mask would not offer any kind of real protection after first few minutes of use. N95/99 mask probably would be better, but as soon as the seal is broken on those masks, they are no longer as effective (so bumping the face, or mask sliding a bit during sex would break the seal).

So while in theory, I agree with you .... in real life practice, i would not agree with comment of "If both parties wear a surgical mask there would be little risk to either party or the space they share."
