I put in a EI claim at or near the beginning of Dec. each year and it typically takes 6 weeks to be approved. I'm guessing these poor bastards will be waiting months before they get their frist depost.

Thank God my claim is good until the end of the year, assuming I don't use all my eligible weeks before then. In the past that has been the case, but of course these are not normal times, so if my contracts work does not come thru like usual, I may in fact use all of my eligble weeks before the end of the year and need to put in another claim. My current contracts end in a few weeks time, at which point I will automatically continue receiving benefits that were put on hold when my contracts started in January.
