I don't know about you but there's no way in hell I'm going to an AMP or seeing an indie in the midst of this virus. STAY HOME

But if you get it, you could pass it on to an elderly person or immunocompromised person, without you knowing that you have it, and result on their death

If the elderly people are at home quarantined like they’re supposed to be... how do I pass it to them exactly? Don’t hang with any old folk myself ... loved ones should be their taking care of them... the ones with strong immune systems can live our life like normal... all the others need to stay inside... I’m personally not afraid of a little flu considering mortality rates are so low...

So you catch COVID-19, pass it on to 400 other people because you just don't care, 1 out of the 400 works at a senior home and cause an outbreak there, and kills 10. Good job sir, and we aren't even counting the other 399 that will pass it onto more people.

By the way, according to latest CDC study, 40% of people sick enough to require hospitalization was 20 to 54 years old. The mortality rate is lower than older people, but it still can make you very sick and some will die. The fatality rate is still much higher than seasonal flu for young adults.

March 19, 2 AM
220 229 Cases
8981 Deaths
8569 Recovered

Look at the numbers increase since Friday.
Globally the mortality rate is at 4 percent right now.
To give you an idea . 2017-2018 flu season
45 Million Infected
291000 to 646000 Deaths
1 to 1 1/2 percent mortality rate.
Numbers are from CDC.

In Italy where it's getting hit hard.
1 in 4 infected are between the ages of 19-50
Thats 24 percent infected are 19-50.
With a mortality rate of 8 percent .Now it has to be
said that mortality rate is a bit skewed.
They have examined medical records of about 18% of the country’s coronavirus fatalities, finding that just three victims, or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses and about a fourth had either one or two previous conditions.
More than 75% had high blood pressure, about 35% had diabetes and a third suffered from heart disease.
But I think you get my point
No this is def not a little flu. It's killing off
and infecting young and the old.

Let's just say these elderly have children who bring them supplies. Those children or those supplies could have been contaminated.
Similar to my business now, I must limit contact so I don't cross contaminate anyone.
All those strong immune system people are just carriers to those who don't have strong immune systems

I just find this very ironic

ka·mi·ka·ze
/ˌkäməˈkäzē/

See definitions in:
all
air force
second world war
noun
noun: kamikaze; plural noun: kamikazes

(in World War II) a Japanese aircraft loaded with explosives and making a deliberate suicidal crash on an enemy target.

I really hope you’re just being a troll and are not as ignorant as this remark makes you out to be?

Go get a case of it then and let everybody know how it works out.

I've been spending alot of time the past few days reading through journal articles. I'm keeping an eye on the news, but I'm much more focused on the actual research data. Apparently a subgroup of Covid-19 patients, some of the ones with severe life threatening cases, seem to be dying from a cytokine storm reaction.

A cytokine storm happens when your immune system reacts in an overly aggressive manner to an invader, causing severe organ damage in the process.

A strong immune system response isn't always a good thing. I don't think anyone can "live life like normal" anymore. At the same time, I don't think this situation will blow over any time soon.

Some speculation that same thing happened to some of the people that died during the Spanish flu epidemic.

That flu hit the youngest, fittest the hardest. CV might mutate to affect more younger people harder if we don't take utmost precautions. The speed and severity of this virus is what is most scary. A lot of stories of younger people taking a selfish, WTF attitude.

I can't help but be reluctant to immediately believe they have no new cases. From what I recall, Chinese authorities initially tried to cover up the situation in the very beginning.
