I wonder what proof LL requires to post the disclaimer or can anyone flag any ad?

It didn’t pop up when I checked my own ads...yet

But if it does I’ll just laugh and bump my ads there even less than I already do. Shit they caught me. I’m making a living one $50 scam at a time

don't know who would be stupid enough to send e-transfer deposit anyways, unless you know the person very well. common knowledge

That warning has been on LL for weeks.

It is good advice.

So is the warning just attached to certain ads? It is good advice but at the same time it's a bit insulting to the reputable providers who require deposits and pay Leolist for advertising.

Back to the amusing aspects...I already get plenty of deposit protesters in my inbox. Now I can wait with bated breath until the day I get messages saying "I'm not sending u a deposit haha. Ur leolist ad says its hi chances u r a scammer!"

Seems a simple common warning. It’s CL and KIJIJI common policy warning. Why? Would someone take it so personal ?

I'm a cash person. Strictly cash upon arrival.

There's three things that happen when I enter an SP's place of business.

1) I hand them the donation in a plain envelope.
2) I thank them for allowing me to enter their personal space.
and,
3) They are told that they are in complete control. If ever it happens that they are not comfortable, they can say stop and I will stop right then and there.

This is the approach I use with all SPs I visit.

Likely many girls are so broke from the ever rising fees to post on LL. Apparently it's up to 5 euros for a basic no frills post if you are verified :jaw:

I like the warning being there. The reality is quite a few men have been scammed by advertisers at the site by those asking for electronic cash transfers. If it dries up business for those scammers this is a positive. If more advertisers want to become verified then that is a great outcome as well.
I refuse to transfer money up front. On the opposite side legitimate advertisers can build their reputations on reviews and will still be able to have clients up front.

Problem with that is I have seen at least 2 different instances here on perb where scammers have posted well known SP's ads with different contact numbers asking for e transfer then immediately deleting said ad afterwards .
