I’ll echo BobbyMcgee about staying clear headed, but the city’s population aside, it’s quite safe or at least in the right neighbourhoods. No matter where though, use Uber at night and for traveling in or through unfamiliar areas during the day. I’ve walked many hours in the bustling tourist areas of Centro and Tlaquepaque in the day and returned at night to find mostly empty sketchy streets populated only by undesirables lurking about down blocks of caged shut businesses. A few minutes down the highway, off a ramp and it’s all bourgie late night restaurants, bars, dance and night clubs. The few times I’ve gone out at night there, without my local friend, it’s always been with Uber and only to upscale shopping centres and one taqueria that was a 5 minute walk from the pad. Day time is fine as long as it’s in tourist/middle class and up areas. All the spas( estética masculinas) that cater to the middle class(I don’t recommend bargain hunting) pooners are in decent neighbourhoods.
OneLuckyGuy, I’ll respond to your PM here for the potential benefit of everyone else. Your hotel is in one of the areas I described above. Far more going on in the day than at night, but a fine area nonetheless. Perfect for tourist purposes but you’re paying for that historic building and could do better for a new property/beds etc. For a few bucks more you can have more comfort and amenities for sure. Never stayed at the GDL location but Fiesta Americana is good and there’s one nearby. I imagine the church bells sound off frequently too and you’re very close there. I drove past that area last December and was startled by how loud they were as the streets were otherwise quiet and I had the windows down at night.
As I had mentioned, the best talent is booked by text or WhatsApp, actually, off the website i linked in my first post. It’s the closest thing to PERB in GDL. There’s another site too...but yeah ladies on there will typically only want to go to short time or love motels but most will go to a nice hotel if it’s near a short time they work at. Those short time places are all over town and used by everyday (non pooner) people as many live with family.
I’ve been to four estéticas and they’re all a 5-15 minute ($5) uber ride from that area.
Clínica Danny’s: unassuming entrance but nice facilities, shower etc. Had a decent lineup with gals in their 20Sand way beyond. I got a cutie who was fairly mechanical but hot.
Jet Set: Nice highly visible store front and lucked out for girls that day. GFE from a hot young student English speaker who wanted to talk about Vancouver and Canada. $80 there she could charge $350 here lol. These places are always a crapshoot but I’ve read and learned that the best and youngest part timers usually only work a few hours mid day.
The name escapes me: maybe I forgot for a reason. Lame massage, and zeros all day...
Rape(yes it’s actually called that): Nice looking, clean modern reno and a totally progressive legit feel to the place. English fluent staff and two English fluent gals. First lineup wasn’t impressed, said I was leaving and they brought some better girls up. Decent massage but low points for service I initially but she upped her game when she realized I wasn’t going to pop right away then it got really good.
These places are everywhere and their talent pools apparently ebb and flow. No charge to see a lineup and Uber is dirt cheap there so I say check google maps ( search “estética masculinafor the high reviewed places, if the street view looks inviting get a ride and check it out. I’ve heard Paloma’s is good too, from the board, so maybe look into them. Definitely recommend Danny’s and Jet Set. Make sure all the services and extras are agreed upon beforehand. Unless you speak fluent Spanish, they upcharge $10-$15 but I don’t care to argue even if I know the rate.
Good luck and hopefully some of this info helps!
Edit: I forgot to mention it, but GDL is a beautiful and fun city. I believe the grass always seems greener, but everyday women there will keep your head turning. Go to a few fancy malls or to the gentrified areas of centro and you’ll see what I’m talking about! Lots to see, do and eat.
Edit: I’ll just reiterate that I recommend to get your rocks off in the day for best selection and to use Uber, not cabs, to safely get around.
