These booths seem to be in lots of shopping centres.
I have never seen such annoying, pushy, obnoxious salespeople anywhere.

They sound like foreigners who speak English as a second language.
Something is not right about them. Is it some kind of overseas work experience or wtf?

Why would you say that? What's wrong with that? They are just trying to earn a living.

High pressure sales. Not my favourite but they wouldn’t be doing it if it didn’t work, and yeah they’re just trying to make a living. They could be on live abroad visas in which one can work in just about any profession except the oldest one, but I don’t think the owners of these kiosks would be sponsoring temporary foreign workers if that’s what you mean, OP.

I've not seen this Paragon cosmetics but it sure sounds like another Israeli skincare scam operation.

They sell average run of the mill anti-aging lotions, skin cleansers, rejuvenators etc. packaged in fancy cases and boxes under fancy sounding unknown brands for 6 to 10 times the true price. They usually set up in malls, approach and solicit and pressure you into a sample or tester and then try to sell some magical diamond dust or gold infused or whale sperm product to you for like $200 or $300. They literally every harass mall patron as they walk by going about their business and they don't take no for an answer. Best to not walk past them or you will have to do everything but kick them in the face to break free of their tentacles.

Very annoying and if I had anything to do with a mall leasing office, I would never let one of these pests into a unit.

I was pretty fucking mad when I wrote the original post.

I was with my friend's mom, she's in a wheelchair and had a stroke. The fucking bitch POS sales lady was holding her hand and WOULD NOT LET GO. It SCARED my friend's mom. I had to be very loud and assertive to get the bitch to let go.
They tried the same crap with me a few years ago. It was at St Vital center. Saleslady would not let go WTF?

Fuck Paragon and all their asshole staff. Kick the fuckers out.

Letting foreigners in to harass Canadians and scam them with bullshit product is ridiculous. My MP is getting an earful.

Assault maybe?
As a matter of fact I did want to assault her, a baseball would have been fine.

The lady I was pushing around in a wheelchair is 80 ffs.
Anyone who tries take advantage of someone in her stare can fuck off and die.

I think he means the unwanted physical contact is assault, under the law.

At the very least, you can complain to mall security or management if they are acting pushy or obstructing people as they try to walk by. Just like with aggressive panhandlers, that behavior's not allowed. Unlike the panhandlers, the malls have the right to remove people who do that from their premises, including vendors.

Forget Mall security. It might spook them.

Contact CBSA on your suspicions and get them to check their Visas.

US CBP are regularly checking ID’s in Bellis Fair Mall, supposedly looking for illegal workers.

I agree that Israelis are rude as hell. At trade shows I attend, they’re known for interrupting conversations you’re involved with since their needs are more important. It’s frustrating when it happens and it’s difficult to deal with if you’re not assertive.
