Depends on your maturity. I don't know many SPs who don't have a boyfriend, most do.

Like any other human, many get married. Some continue to work after.

The stigma is rediculous, in my opinion. Sex is just sex.. it's nothing.

I've encountered two providers who are in relationships but their significant other doesn't know that they're providers.

Based on facts and peer-reviewed statistics and not your personal opinion, there is very strong evidence that women with more than 6 partners have incredibly high rates of divorce long-term

Promiscuity is linked with impulsiveness and inability to delay gratification.

Divorce has traumatic consequences for children and affect them emotionally negatively for the rest of their lives btw. On top of that it is financially and emotionally draining.

That isn't to say SP's don't date or have boyfriends. From a long term perspective, badger is correct if you look at the statistical outcome

I have before, ended amicably. Quit hobbying etc for a while as I in a relationship anyways at the time. Fast forward to now, dating no - but I've maintained a FWB situation with a provider for like the last 1.5 years and so far so good!

I have never dated an escort. I don't think any would want to date me as I am older, over weight and not attractive. But if I didn't suffer the above afflictions and was younger and attractive, there are only a handful of Escorts that I would like to date. We would have to have mutual interests outside of sex. We would like to do the same things (enjoying the arts, learning, collecting, history, exploring, and Sci-fi, just to name a few and be conversant and intelligent.) I guess what I am saying is that if you are just hoping to date someone on a regular basis for the sole reason of sex, that relationship won't last.

Interesting numbers did you get that from www.madeupstats.com? My experience (both personal and observation of friends) indicates that it is generally the person dating the escort looking to have their financial means taken care of, which is probably where the negative stereotype of “her pimp boyfriend” comes from.

Even in civilian relationships there is a high possibility of being scammed or leaving the relationship with less than what you had going in. That said, I am not advocating a real relationship with a currently active SP, I believe very few people can handle that without ending up in a place of insecurity and jealousy.

Every story is unique and different, depends what your story is.

Some uses you, some don't.

I feel that in order for it to work, you need to be accepting of what they do for work. But its easier said then done. Expectations on both ends need to be set.

I have been debating whether or not to share my story, i have never told anyone to this day. I just wanted to see if anyone has gone through a similar situation, and maybe get it off my chest.

I hear ya'. I thought that was pretty unfair to their S/O's as well. Hell of a secret to maintain.
