Heard about this earlier in the year, but here's the backstory :

Always keep in mind, if the SP isn't the same as in the photos, or they're "not into the session", or spaced out on drugs, there maybe something else going on behind the scenes.

For those SP's out there in the same situation as this young lady was, ask for help where you can. Even ask your clients, if you feel comfortable. We should all be coming into this with free will and feel safe.

Not too long after placing my donation on the counter I’ll usually ask them if they are choosing to do this on their own free will. Not sure I’d get an honest answer if they were still in fear, but you never know. It’s always been a positive way to start a session. I’ve never had a bad or awkward response to it.

It was actually a client that drove her to safety, whoever you are, if your on here.......Good on you!
Yeah, it's too bad the reporter/editor labeled them as "the man who victimized her", putting themselves at risk to take her to the police. Call him what he is; a hero.

Traffickers hide the identity of their victim by using fake pictures.
Families of women victims scour the ads looking for them.
Another reason to walk away immediately if the pictures don’t match.

There should be more for us to do than just pull a 180º. After all, we might be the only other human contact these ladies are probably having outside of their handlers view. But I understand the sentiment, when the law makes us out to be the pariah's in this interaction as well.

If anyone from WPS is reading this, let us know if there's information that could be put on a card that can be given to these ladies we think are in trouble. Information that will tell them who they can call, what they can do, something that gives them a bit of hope. There may be some of us "victimizers" out there who want to help. ;)

The article in OP's post only outlines one lowlife in the trafficking scenario. Human trafficking is big business in organized crime. I have a friend who works at Canada Immigration. She has told me that they deport at least 2 girls a month for violating their education visa's by working as escorts. Usually oriental ladies. For you gents who frequent the agencies who offer asian ladies, keep this in mind. Often these young ladies are offered education visa's in their home country, sponsored to come to Canada, and are forced to work off the cost, and then some.
