My 1st car was a '69 340 Dart GTS (alas w/a torqueflite) Reilly Motorsports makes a disc/coil-over K-member that eliminates those awful torsion bars (https://www.reillymotorsports.com/?target=product&product_id=16247) they also have a 4-link rear. I put a Gen-III hemi/Tremec 6-Speed in a '68 Dart Convertible and used both front and rear suspension from them...unbelievable handling
I still have a GTS in the collection. I think it's one of the few I'm going to hang on to, just love the body style.

Been an Acura guy for quite a while, previously had a 2008 Acura TL and then upgraded that to a 2015 TLX.

Smooth and reliable cars with just a little bit of luxury.

I currently have two -- Kia; I ride her everyday very good, day and night. A brand new Mercedez; I ride her on special occasions, mostly at night when I want to splurge.

Before that I had Sienna. I rode her good for 5 years. Well worth it. Provided great service.

Before that, I had the full sized Crown Victoria. I rode her until I got tired of her size and dumped her. She always reminded me of a snotty Royal princess anyway.

I occasionally borrow Savana from my friend whom I'll just call GMC (to protect his privacy). She has a lot of power, and I can feel it when I ride her.

OMG! Lime green, with rear spoiler?
lol, the '68/'69 A-body had the option of either a BumbleBee Stripe around the trunk, a longitudal stripe along the side, or a stripe delete. The GTS had buckets and a console where The Swinger was more stripped-down.

Not a manual. There's really only one - B7 gen RS4.

While newer turbo cars are impressive, I'm not a fan. I'll stick to my naturally aspirated manuals for as long as I can.
Can't sneak anything past you (for the record, the B6/B7 chassis in S4 and RS4 model has the 4.2 w/manual and AWD...with a sportier 60/40 bias toward the rear). Unfortunately, The States never got The B6/7 RS4 in Avant body style :(

I have a few... but my fave 4 wheeler (not the daily driver) is the 20 year old Chevy extended cab long box 4X4 farm truck....454 big block under the hood (7.4 litre for you young'uns). There is no replacement for displacement. I don't care how much gas it burns and how big its carbon footprint is....when I step on the pedal it moves. Great for hauling dogs, gear and equipment, great highway truck especially on winter roads (just not such great headlights and a shitty sound system). Super reliable!

I know all too well as I currently own a variant with that exact same drivetrain. The 40:60 split doesn't hurt but it's still a cruiser and an overweight pig compared to my fun/summer car.

And you're right, NA only ever got the sedan RS4 for a few short years. Did you import in an RS4 Avant or your AWD V8 manual wagon is something else entirely?

B7 S4 Avant 6-speed (with the Euro .56 sixth gear...spins just under 3k rpm at 100 mph). The only way I'd trade/sell is if I could get the RS4 Avant down here, but it has plenty of HP for me. New guides/chains/clutch/brakes/rotors/RS4 wheels/axles/etc. I'll have it completed this week and will be terrorizing a MP/SP in your neighborhood soon :)

Varies now
With all those Fords, your accountant must have an aneurism at tax time going through your repair bills....but hey, you can always write off parts.
When I go to the accountant, I take the Sierra. That way I know I'll get back.

Oh duh, I kind of overlooked the obvious. Always loved the B7 S4 wagon, especially in Nogaro Blue. Alas, will never get one as it's just too costly to sink all that money into the chain tensioners/guides.

my rationale went something like this:

If I were to 'build' my perfect car (potentially my last gas-powered car) that'll keep me amused for the next ten years...what would it be and how much would it cost? Given my parameters of wanting sporty/fast/AWD/Wagon/Manual/V8/stealthy...my choices were very limited. The big Mercedes (but an automatic) or the Cadillac (tries too hard) BMW (no V8/Manual combo)...that's about it. So for basically the cost of a 3 or 4 year old (you fill-in-the blank) mundane car, I can have an exhilarating (for me) experience for the next 75,000-100,000 miles.

Makes perfect sense given your wants/needs. Unfortunately, US car companies have convinced people here that SUVs are what they want when in fact, 80% of those people would be better served with a wagon. I feel your pain. Being a former AMG owner, I'd probably just go with the E63S wagon if I needed the extra space and leave the extra fun stuff to my summer car.
