Are you more likely to vote Conservative if ...

Are you more likely to vote Conservative if Scheer promises to lay a whooping on China because of their very bad behaviour?

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/chi...view-1.5208331

In the article above John McCallum suggests that the Conservatives will be much hasher with China than the Liberals have been if they win the next election. I say ABOUT FUCKING TIME !!!

I think we should throw all the Chinese out of Vancouver and claim the real estate they own and sell it off to the highest bidders. The BC government can take the $$$ and hopefully do something worth while with it. As a side benefit, those of us that have not been able to affoerd even a 1 bedroom condo may actually be able to get our foot into the real estate market.

    ================================================== ========================================

If you had not guessed, the last paragraph was written in jest. But I do think that the Liberals should have taken a harder line with the Chinese. Any serious suggestions on how we should retaliate?

Sorry, I'm not sure how this answers my question. Are you saying that you agree with punishing China for their stupid ass actions or not? And are you more likely to vote Conservative since they will likely punish China?

Conservatism is dead. Globalization killed it. All you so called conservative voters are following a false religion peddled by false prophets. Earlier Andrew Sheer was saying that we should appease China by sending Meng back to them in contradiction of our rule of law.

You simpleton voters want simpleton answers in a complex world. There is a reason China is a superpower and Canada is not.

Canada's strength is not in the binary world of winners and losers. We are traders and diplomats. We always have been. And as such we need to utilize those skills. Let USA and China put their ballz on the table, we swallow the last word and sell you some Rapeseed oil. (canola).

Exactly what I was thinking. Scheer to me seems more mealy mouthed than that simpleton sitting on the
wooden bar stool in front of his drama class. Thing is I'd never vote Conservative, nor would I ever vote
Liberals. No way in hell I'd votes for ndp federally either. So what's Left?

We have nothing but a mess of politicians who not the slightest idea of how to run a country
and makes me wonder how they keep their own affairs in order in their own households.
It must be a miracle that they are able to survive.

tension not only destroys quickness and movement but sensitivity as well...

I usually vote Conservative federally just because they're the only party that at least tries to reign in federal spending.

However, Scheer is distinctly underwhelming. I might not even vote. Not that it really matters, since I'm in a riding that just elected a Green of all fucking possible stupidity.

    A whooping on China; seriously...

It has the second or first economy in the world due to its cheap labour prices.... it has a large navy, bigger and better than the RCN; its army is way bigger that Canada, it its has more satellites that Canada, its air force is way bigger.

How are we gonna put a whooping on them? please tell....

Oh.. were under that US umbrella of satellites and planes and ships.... Are you depending on the Americans to defend Canada.....

Canada has 12 frigates (built in the 1990s), and 4 subs, for a navy. For the army it has 80 Leopard II tanks. For CF18s we have aprox 80. Since all of the major equipment is almost 30 years old, maintenance is fucking high.. and guaranteed to break down (lets say 30%) when fucking needed.....

Please tell me how Canada is going to give them a whooping.....

    I hope you feel safe......

For Canada we need 4X the fighters; 5X the ships; 10X the tanks; 20% new vehicles every 5 years would keep equipment new and maintained. That doesn't include the support ships, helicopter, transport planes, transport trucks, artillery and manpower etc needed to support the higher number of major combat equipment.

And why are the Chinese playing hardball with Canada, because they can....

The question with the Chinese is why 5G. why aren't the American, Australians, Britain going with a Haiwei 5G network, because it would under-sale their western networks and give the Chinese to worldwide spying capabilities that the US and allies currently have....

China'a economy with the next 10-15 years will begin to need large quantities of imported raw resources to maintain their quality of life.... It needs the large input of cheap materials to maintain status-quo, or end up like Japan dependent on US influence to maintain raw material goods.

China is currently flexing its muscles in the south China sea over oil rights on islands not traditionally theirs....they are being the aggressor....

We can't do shit to China, even if Canada got all the present Common Wealth nations to go to war against China, we still wouldn't be able to do much. We just need to accept the fact that Canada as a country has made a series of decisions that set the course for this and all we can do for now is hope that this blows over eventually. For the time being though Canada should place requirements that any Canadian company that has outsourced its jobs must repatriate that work OR bring it to a country that isn't hostile towards Canada.

Even though there are days I wish I could change some things that happened in the past, there’s a reason the rear view mirror is so small and the windshield is so big, where you’re headed is much more important than what you’ve left behind.

What exactly are the Conservatives going to do to lay down this whooping? Ban Chinese imports? It's a trade war we'd lose hands down. Our imports are an insignificant fraction of their economy. Our exports to them are a big part of ours.

    Oh for fucks sakes.

How is Scheer going to whoop China?

He couldn't even get his bratty 6-year-old to drink plain milk.

He couldn't even convince Bernier to stay in the party.

When did conservative supporters get so gullible?
