I know it's not summer...yet. But it will be next Friday

2 of the most recent wines I've tried and really enjoyed are Stoneleigh Pinot Noir Rose and Babich Sauvignon Blanc. Both are New Zealand wines.

And earlier this spring I tried Luigi Bosca Malbec. Argentina. It was pretty decent too :thumb:

I tend to do my wine shopping around the $20 per bottle range. A few dollars over or under. Going too far under $20 hurts my stomach, too much over hurts my wallet. I'm a student, not a starving student but I still need to keep an eye on my spending.

I stick to dry wines, not into the sweet stuff.

I'm glad to hear You enjoyed the Malbec !
Nothing like a shot in the Dark... LOL

I know You said nothing Sweet, and Rieslings usually are .
Also that the lower priced Wines hurt your Stomach .
But, give this one a try . I've shared a Bottle of this with a good Lady friend who's usually a Cab Sav fan . She said she enjoyed it, as she likes Whites during the Summer .

It's on Sale till the end of June !
If You really hate It, I'll make it up to You somehow . LOL

Salud !

P.S. It's Organic if that counts for anything these Days .

This is a great one! Although not a very sweet Riesling (like a 4 or 5) it's still on the sweet side (it's a 2 I think). One to try maybe is Blasted Church Pinot Gris. For a red try Liberty School Cab Sav.

Ah Summer wine, one of the threads I anticipate since it cuts down on my personal research saving my liver and $.

Argentina is becoming a leader in Malbec and at all price points too. Navarro Correas was a great one I bought a few years ago and recently had it at a BBQ. I also target the $20 ish cost and there are decent wines at LCB and Liberty Wines. New Zealand Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc and Matua Gisborne Pinot Gris at $16 is a great value. Tomassi Pinot Grigio from Italy is a great wine too.

I tend to buy BC or Ontario red wines like Pinot Noir or Cab Sauv, though keeping to $20 is quite tough considering some wineries in these regions are producing less than 1000 cases a year. Everything Wine usually has good deals on Canadian reds.

From the Monty Python vault, Australian Wine reviews :D

I have been curious about the Matua Pinot Gris for quite awhile. They make a decent Sauvignon Blanc. I'll pick it up next time I'm at the store.

BC Liquor has a couple on sale right now that we like: "The Crusher", a petite syrah and Tom Gore Cab Sauv, both from California.

Fucking restaurant chaged me 90$ on a date for a bottle of this shit.

If I weren't on a date I'd be in a jail for arson.

Some people are duped so easily, when they can afford it .

That's too bad !
I'm sure Miss Hunter would have comped You a Glass, as part of her Session . LOL

I tried the Villa Teresa Rose. It’s alright but a bit too much of a girly girl drink. Great choice for the fragile, feminine woman. I’m more of a...I don’t even know the correct words to describe myself...

Anyways, the Luigi Bosca Malbec is far superior IMO. I picked up another bottle to enjoy over the weekend :thumb:
