Storm rider, think of that 200 billion as a way to keep hundred's of thousand of quebecers out of your province...

As for the oil being dirty-- well it has sand in it. Thick oil like bitumen, really stinks because it has volatile organic products in it, hence its bad smell.

Dirty oil or dirty whore... which sounds better?

Canada is a socialist country, we have welfare, universal health care, EI to help people over the rough times... The generosity of the people of Canada through welfare have created 4 and 5 generation of people on welfare... I don't agree with that. But I do see an need to help and support these people; so we need revenue to help cover the cost.

Most revenues goes for infrastructure support for the government to do business (looking after Canadians).

Now gas prices are close to a bottle of water. A human being can survive without oil, a human can't survive without water.

How come this article is not complaining about the price of bottled water, its more expensive.

Bottled water is the biggest most harmfull damaging development to the environment in the history of mankind.

As for hundreds of thousands of Quebecers coming to Alberta that is not likely as they will not get the Socialist Benefits in Alberta that they get in Quebec that is made possible by multiple Federal Liberal governments PANDERING to Quebec and throwing money at the Province.

It is funny how Quebec can have a referendum about leaving Canada......but the rest of Canada CANT have a referendum for the rest of the country on kicking Quebec the fuck out and giving "La Belle" Province the bill for it's share of the National Debt whilst also saying no more money from Ottawa.

One of the best jokes I ever heard.An Albertan and a Quebecer are walking along a railway line and the Quebecer trips after catching his foot on a buried object.The Albertan digs it out of the ground and it turns out to be a weird bottle.The Quebecer pulls out the cork and a genie appears and says "for freeing me I will grant you each one wish".The Quebecer says " I want a 100 foot high wall that is 20 feet thick all the way around Quebec" and the genie snaps his fingers and says it is done.The Quebecer then says to the Albertan who was the one who dug the bottle from the ground "eh what you tink of dat....no fucking pipeline for you"....the Albertan asks the genie "so there is now a 100 foot high wall that is 20 feet thick around Quebec?" and the genie replies "it is done"The Albertan says "fill it full of water"

Alberta, even with all the "devastation" to the oil and gas industry has the highest per capita income of all Canadians: much higher than Quebec. Your constant whining about Quebecers supposedly taking all your money is rather unbecoming, if not woefully inaccurate. Given that on average you are making more than the average Quebecer; your argument boils down to "I have it better than you and I want it even better than that still". Pitiful and shameful.
