Is it me, or does it seems like many of the ads on LL with "verified" pictures still seem obviously fake or at least dubiously way too good to be true?
What exactly does "verified" mean... or the "Leolist" watermark... is this really any kind of hedge against someone with a bit of technical savvy posting fake pics?
I know various threads have gone around lamenting the high % of scams and/or B&S ads on LL, but what are the alternatives? Does anyone have any thoughts on a more reliable form of finding legitimate SPs or how to lobby Leolist to take a more responsible stance on how it vets its advertisers?
The SPs who advertise on PERB seem legit, but that's a small number and they are generally a bit more up-market; my M.O. has been to search on LL and then cross-reference on PERB for reviews... but many SPs don't get reviewed because there is this negative feedback loop making pooners wary of the risks of TOFFT because of the high percentage of fake ads.
How does one tap into a more reasonable price point without playing Russian Roulette?
