He didn't say which escort site, but we know which he is talking about and we did encounter and talk about that one ad where the "girl" texted she was underage and asked if that was ok. 47 men caught in the sting operation.

Didn't mention which social media platform, but mentioned the incall was a hotel. Reporter asked if it was leolist but the officer refused to confirm.

Officers were following an escort review board and reading messages between members but didnt' mention the name of the site.

They absolutely were on Leolist, & this is the review board they were monitoring. As I just posted on Twitter, this is how stings OUGHT to work regarding sex work in Canada. Clamp down on those who are looking to exploit minors or trafficked individuals.

Also when you find out shes underage do the right thing and say no thanks. :nono:
Exactly. They explicitly advised by text that they were supposedly under age ahead of time, giving ages between 15 and 17. Not hard to avoid.

Also from the article:

"I want to make it clear that these projects were not about sexual activity between two consenting adults," Rankin said in the statement.

Couldn't have said it better myself....if your a Shitbag taking advantage, and get caught without any doubts to your intentions, you deserve the full weight of the hammer coming down on you.

Now the VPD should go after all the scammers and "bait n' swtiches" in Leolist.....
And while they are at it a sting where they nail the losers asking for and offering that unmentionable service.

But I digress...back to the original topic.

Certain fantasies that are promoted in porn cross the line. There are plenty of moving parts to the subject but "Family" stuff is just plain wrong imo.

The babysitter role play and similar scenarios where a youthful 22 yr old is in pigtails and chewing gum to appear as someone in HS serves what purpose exactly?

What would happen if an agency or MP hired someone underaged where she used fake ID? Would the clients still get charged? Onus on the client, not the agency/MP?

Onus on the client definitely. No doubt.
Maybe the agency would also be held accountable-exploiting a minor I believe.

I was just thinking it might not be a bad idea to list a few of the Canadian Criminal Code laws as they are written in the Criminal Code.
Just the ones that might pertain to SP/Customer situations-for everyone's protection -SPs, MPs and clients.

Nothing would/should happen to the agency...imo

There was a rape case in Kamloops, where a man was charged with underage sex with a minor. He met her at a college party and she gave the impression she was college-aged the whole time. She even told some people she was legal age. So they hooked up had sex, then it was later revealed that she was underaged. Somehow the cops caught him (think a buddy turned him in, once the guy confessed) and a long trial took place. He was eventually set free, because they recognized that the girl lied and concealed her true age to him.

If the same logic applies to an agency, and if the agency is legit and ran properly doing ID checks, taking pictures of her holding the fake ID near her face, etc etc.... I'm sure if her and the agency get busted, the agency "should" be let go (if it's a legit business).

If you are a PERB member, arrested for this, you may not want to mention it, since you aren't going to get one ounce of sympathy here. I will leave this one open for discussion purposes, but remind everyone of the rules, no discussion of underage providers, except to warn others to stay away.

Just so you know, since the Conservatives changed the laws a few years ago, it is a criminal offense to be the customer, period, even when it is between two consenting adults.

That being said, good on the police for targeting pedophiles. I hope they all get everything that is coming to them.

It has been a long time since I was visiting Victoria but most cities police have indicated no change in enforcement, i.e. Toronto, Montral and Vancover are the ones I recall. Do not know about Victorias but other major cities have indicated will follow the harm reduction model of the Supreme Court and are going after underage and forced and in some cities street workers, but not private consenting adults.

The conservatives C36 law is no being challanged with great attorneys after an arrest in a smaller Ontario city as violates the safety of persons clause? in the Charter of Rights which is why the Supreme Court followed the Ontario Superior Court long ruling that the prior prostitution laws related to incall, agencies etc violated the Charter. Outcall of course was previously legal.

Many lawyers believe that C36 will likewise fall.
