Very good but even better is Wigan Pier in Squamish.

Their batter is amazingly thin and crispy with the fresh fish being super tasty. Very generous portions too so bring an appetite

Pajo's still has one location open in Steveston although the original one is shut down because their ramp collapsed.

They actually have one at YVR now too.

Montgomery's ( Spelling) Fish & Chips in White Rock, on the east side of the strip is great too.

    Pazos in Stevenson is good.

And, there's this good place in SQUAMISH, next to the Trading Post.

I'm biased because I live in Squamish, but #3 for Wigan pier, go there once a week when I'm not worried about being a little soft, they also pour Guinness properly which is getting hard to find

I love the drive up mid week to avoid the weekend travel. They are definitely worth the drive

I agree! Their house made tartar sauce is awesome, and the portions are large too! If you order one piece, you get two. A three piece order is big enough to share. Locals know that on busy sunny days, the best plan is to call ahead then drive down to pick it up!

There's also a Montgomery's at Lonsdale Quay in North Van, and theirs is good.

I hear that Dave's in Steveston is ok, but overpriced for what you get.
