The 6 to the.. Other 6
Hello Perbites,

I have got a serious inquiry. What is the best practice for a long and prosperous "pooning career"? More specifically, how often should one get tested and what does that look like?

Based on the limited googling and research I can garner from this site and others: here are my conclusions.

-start counting from your last fun with a lady.

-Wait 6 weeks (for most of the STD's to "appear" and for the test to be accurate).

-Go to a ???? Clinic? (Advice would be great. I am not interested in just HIV, I wish to get tested for everything. Lol. Anonymously if possible, but if not, I am fine as well).

-get treatment if needed, most things aren't life threatening, some of the things are annoying and life long. I've seen mostly upscale ladies so I am not terribly worried... I did saw like 15 ladies in almost two months, (not counting repeats), and I think i should be diligent.

Any advice or suggestions are appreciated. PM's are fine too!!!
Thanks in advance!

Jonny Boi.

Have not province
getcheckedonline.com - it's free and confidential. Register and then visit your local LifeLabs location. You will get your results in 7-10 days. Visit as many times as you want to get tested.

In Vancouver, you go to the Provincial STI Clinic @ 655 West 12th Avenue.

Free and you can do it anonymously i.e. make up a name, you'll just need to remember what name & birth date you used so you can get the results.

Every 6 months should be fine or right away if you got symptoms.

There used to be more info in Health Information section, now moved outside.

I'm not sure what your definition of an upscale lady is, but how much money do you spend on escorts per h session?

At $300+ per h risk of STI contraction is considerably diminished. This is because as cost goes up, number of clients seen goes down. Lesson: Don't be a cheapskate when it comes to your health. You have to be prepared to spend if you want to protect yourself.

Sounds like this gentleman is trying ask how he got the male version of a yeast infection . HIV and the rest of major STDs is from unprotected sex or the same with any skin on skin contact where there is a chance of mingling fluids. I not sure how this relates for members other than what was said before or your real question. Google that image and don't ask a site but a doctor. I hope all is well and if it feels dodgy when seeing a sp it most likely is. Or if something is different with your tools don't wait see professionals. Doctors have most likely heard stranger tales or have known many with the same issues .

This is probably true. But it sounds snarky. LOL

Just a PSA: I don't have any symptoms or any issues. I just don't know what to do in general as I've never been tested (all of my ex's before were, er, pretty boring like me. Lol).

So y'all don't have to worry about any overlap or anything of the sort.

I will check out the website and maybe w 12th! Thanks a lot fellow pooners!
(By the way, guys can get yeast infections?! Lol)

If you want to be anonymous, you can use the Bute St clinic. Results are available in about a week.

It's usually quick and easy. Don't go after a long weekend because the lineup can be long.

Also Health Nurse posted this link a long time ago. Good reference site to keep in your bookmarks

Thanks.

But does anyone know how long I should wait after "ceasing all activities"? I've heard anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months by this point.. lol.

And yeah, I've been exclusively seeing "higher end" ladies so like I said, I am not worried.
It's like I just found out how nice it's a drive a Porsche, I am asking how to get it into the shop and how often, from other Porsche owners.. LOL

This is nonsense. I worked with women who charged expensive upscale rates & saw multiple clients per day. Their rates are based on what they think they're "worth" in the market. The frequency is based on how much money they need to pay their bills. They may also be pimped out. The assumption upscale girls don't have pimps is also nonsense.

Further, you're missing the important equation. The pooner. There are guys (as you see on this forum all the time) who put their health at risk all the time. What's to stop some dude who cruises the DTES from going to see an upscale escort?

JonnyBoi: Just make a habit to get tested frequently but remember that the minute you're with someone after those test results it's all moot.
Great advice :thumb: no ifs, ands or buts....end of story!!!

So I shouldn't go and have a sabbatical (I am thinking 6 weeks after my final date with a lady), and get tested? I feel like many people are encouraging me to keep going non-stop lol. Just hoping to get some "best practice" advice from some of you other, experience people here.

I really like the get checked online form and I think I'll definitely do that.

That is right. If you don't have any symptoms and didn't have a high-risk event (like a broken condom), there's no reason to pause. Just get tested regularly as you go.

Thanks a lot!!

I was reading all the websites and they said.. Basically the hobby is high-risk (what of BBBJs? Isn't that high risk? I also like kissing with tongue.. Dammit! Lol)

I am just being careful because unless something happens (like I get relocated or something) I feel I plan to do this for a while and I wish to do it right.

I will still take like a month off to do all the personal stuff (like working out, lol. People here are so fit it's making me feel bad about my own self-image. And not just the ladies I see, y'all wake up super early and do jogs or yoga or something. It baffles me lol). But I am very much put at ease. Thanks a lot peeps!!

All I got from Failure's comments was that SPs who see lots of clients a day(i.e. Asian micro girls) 5-7 days a week will have a more probability of catching an STD due to the sheer volume of men they go thru vs an expensive indie who goes thru considerably less volume. Just a numbers game.

Of course it doesn't stop a pooner who does BBFS on the DTES and then sees an SP who doesn't regardless of price, it's just the higher end escort will have better odds not being in that situation due to less encounters.

That's how I read his comments as well - but I've learned to just keep most of my opinions to myself because people jump on comments SUPER quick.. Lol.

No one was insuinating higher price point always means they're squeaky clean. It's just probabilities and the volume of people that you seen.

I don't think I was particularly "dangerous" but I was a high volume user for the last month and half, so naturally I want to be smart to get myself checked out. I am sure it's 99% for my peace of mind that's all.

If at all possible, could we :focus:?

I don't wish to be another rate talk/speculative thread. The lounge is full of that..

Just let me know I should get tested and get real medical advice from doctors if I was truly worried should suffice. I will, on my own accord and research, stop after a few weeks and then just collect myself and enjoy this fine city and perhaps come back mid-summer or something.

I think I racked up like 20+ visits (most of which are 1.5hrs to 2hrs) in about 1.5months.. Lol. whatever need I have had before has been MORE than filled if you would..

Agree with Felix. This a good place to go.I have been there a couple times and always felt good with what they said to me.They will ask you a few questions and they might do a quick check of your body.

They will test you for everything and not just HIV.

You have the option of taking a test for HIV that will give results on the spot,or one that takes a little longer to get the results.I believed the nurse said that the one that take a little longer to get the results, can be more accurate. They only take blood once. They also make you take a urine sample.

You can drop in or you can make an appt.Drop in doesn't guarantee that they will see you,as it depends on how busy they are.Call then in advance and they will let you know if there is a chance that you can be seeing that day.
