U2 are always great value for their music, lights, video and animation.

Their last arena tour 'Innocence" was amazing to see because Bono and Edge both went inside the video display while an animation was playing. Just like the HBO broadcast from Paris.

Anyone seeing them at BC Place, I recommend using some earplugs. They filter out the crowd noise and the swirling sound effects in the dome. I tried this at the 360 tour and they worked brilliantly.

Thanks for that advice BBB. I remember the first Joshua Tree tour 30 years ago, my floor tickets were $29. It's a little more expensive this time LOL

Lol They don't make their money by selling albums anymore . They (artists) make it touring . They used to tour to sell albums and now all the acts release new recordings to promote their tours . Fair game

It would be a pretty boring world if bands didn't tour. I'll be seeing 8 concerts this year including U2 and Roger Waters. I like going to smaller venues to see fledgling acts or good old groups at Hard Rock or the Richmond casino too.

Groups like these are making big $ via new sales in vinyl and Hi Res downloads not just mp3's or CDs.

Is vinyl nothing more than a "retro-hype" fad? Here's a link that destroys the notion of vinyl sound quality being superior to digital.

And then there's the debate about Hi Res and its cost.

I'm no audiophile, so perhaps folks here more well versed could chime in.
