Which BC party is more tolerant of sex trade? BC liberals have done a good job refusing to enforce federal prostitution laws and I'm afraid that a BC NDP dominated by radical feminists would crack down on sex trade. This is one of the reasons I'm voting liberal.

The law is in the Criminal Code for the country. Based on most of the articles that I've read, the decision of whether or not to actively enforce the new sex work laws have been made at municipal levels. If you have any links that support your assessment that the enforcement decisions are being made at a provincial level, I'd be interested in reading them.

Way too big a topic for a simple post on the forum. If you're really curious, here's a link to their site where you can read to your heart's content:

http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/g...e/ministries-organizations/ministries/justice

As for your original assessment, again, I'm happy to read any evidence that you can provide to support your statement.
There have been charges related to sex purchase in other provinces. In BC there hasn't been a single charge of sex purchase. If this was decided at municipal level as you said we would have seen charges in conservative municipalities in interior BC. But unlike other provinces there hasn't been any charge province wide. Why?

You're basing your opinion on speculation and asking me to speculate in return. As I've already said, every article I've read thus far, has suggested that the decision to actively enforce the new sex trade laws have been made at municipal levels. If you have any articles to support your claim, please provide a link and I will gladly read it. But I will not play speculation games with respect to this topic.

Here you go:

Quebec creates multi-force squad to fight prostitution, human trafficking
Saying the problem of prostitution isn’t limited to a single jurisdiction, Public Security Minister Martin Coiteux announced on Friday the creation of a multi-force squad to aimed at fighting prostitution and human trafficking.

As you can see the article above is talking about Public Security Minister of Quebec not Montreal or Quebec city Mayor

When you really look at what's happening there are no arrests in the whole "consenting adult" arena. It seems to be more about street traffic & suspected underage market. That's always existed. I lived on the stroll at one time and even when buying sex was legal they frequently set out to do a sweep. Canada is definitely a far cry from the United States.
What is "street traffic"?

In Vancouver when buying sex was legal it was still illegal to publicly solicit & stings were set up (e.g. with female cops posing as SP's) to catch "johns" in the DTES, on Kingsway, etc. AFAIK Vancouver has been done with that & John's schools since before Bill C-36.
