Why was SDK banned?

That is, why was I banned? Found out today and I'm still at a loss. I scanned through my posts to find something I stated that could have caused this, something controversial or mean-spirited. But all I found were reviews and other helpful intel, and I remember the occasional PM thanking me for my posts. What usually gets one banned? Maybe someone can look at SDK's posts and enlighten me as to why this happened. Or maybe someone might know something I don't. The mods haven't returned my e-mail yet, and I doubt they will. I'm pretty much done with reviewing in Vic anyway, since I don't live there anymore, but I do enjoy sharing insight on this forum. I mentioned in a previous post about moving to Edmonton in the fall and was hoping to continue reviewing as SDK. It certainly rivals Van in this hobby, as one glance at LL revealed. BP becomes irrelevant in cities like these. I hope I get a response soon before this username gets banned! Thanks.

Allow me to explain. You got into a pissing war with a troll. You flagged about 6 of his posts and shot back at him several times. Or should I say, one of your many other handles did. When looking into the IPs I found the massive list below, all set up by one person. This gets you banned, forever and always. I post this as a warning to all - one handle per person. Multiple handles are not allowed. I hope it's clear for all to understand.

If you don't think you want a post associated with your username, don't post it! Multiple IDs will always result in a ban. If you have questions, PM a mod. thanks

Adding " 1" to the end of many names sure is stealthy *wink*

I imagine it's a lot of work and may not be as easy as pie but...Perb is now approaching 90,000 registered members. Mods, or whoever is in charge of this, should deleted all inactive registries, members who have registered but never ever post, and ones who have posted and decided to never return ( One's let's say..... past 5 years as a boundary )?

Hope that made sense what I just wrote lol.

Interesting idea, I have flagged it for the new ownership to consider.

I kind of re - wrote it....adjusted.

Fake, and very old inactive members would make it a lot easier for mods to trace things, and the site .....would run easier? I guess that too.

Since the site is driven by advertising revenue, lurkers still have value to the site. Maybe it should be based on full inactivity not just lack of posts?

It would decrease the size of the database & might improve the performance of the site. At the least it would use less storage. As a side note it IS possible to have multiple accounts from a single IP. An SP and her spouse may live together and use the same connection. Or you might well rent a place and the internet comes as part of the package and the landlord happens to be a pooner.
It's fairly obvious when you search the IPs what is going on. For example, we have been dealing with a troll the last 2-3 days, trouser_snake, catslaughter was his name today and there's been 3-4 others. Once you know his IP addresses, you can ban him pretty fast if there's a match. Incalls shared by ladies/agencies also stick out. Some IPs are trickier, like cell towers and the like, but most trolls can't help but reveal themselves. If it gets bad, a quick note to the Admin and we can ban the IP entirely, which we had to do with another recent troll/imposter who took things way too far. If there's doubt, PMs are sent to the handles and a chance to explain is given. We have had roommates who didn't even know the other guy was also a pooner, and even family members pop up this way.

I also err on the side of caution when I see TOR IPs. If a troll is hiding there, we skip a few steps and may end up catching an innocent bystander with an IP block or ban, but if you are using TOR, you should expect some bumps along the way.

I guess the question should have been: "Why did this thread which SDK deleted from the Vic 411 (mind you) magically find its way onto The Lounge? I found out shortly after making that post that Fred Zed himself e-mailed me stating he "didn't know what happened" and asked me to "try again." Whereupon I did, realized I was not "banned" after all, went back as SDK2, deleted that 411 thread and never used that handle again. I also just noticed this post on The Forum when I was looking through "PerbMod's" posts. Or maybe the question should have been, "Why did 'PerbMod' feel he could share personal info about me on a public forum instead of PMing me, which he ended up doing with the same material anyway?" All important requests, I guess. I know the mods are the "gods" of this site and can do what they please, but I feel a line was crossed here.

All those handles were created when I first discovered Perb at the end of December and was indecisive with which to actually post. Back then it took a few minutes to create/activate one. Ah, "PerbMod" must have missed these points. The only other handle with which I posted, besides "SDK", was "GQ1" (well, and "SDK2" to defend myself), and yes I was foolish to also post as GQ1 , but if one checks out the latter's posts, there's nothing vulgar or rude in them. I simply used that handle to stick up for certain SP's, blast the "deranged pig" called "Hatrick" and post the occasional sarcastic remark to thinly veil my discontent with those who cheat on their wives/SO's with escorts and blatantly admit doing so. But that's just my opinion. Oh, and once (and only once) I stupidly posted on a review as GQ1 to give that lady a bump because I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her and felt she wasn't get enough views. That's the only reason I review, by the way - to help the SP get more work if I enjoyed my time with her.

Those that say they withhold reviewing a favourite SP to keep her "to themselves" are delusional. One fellow I met at the Fox pub in Victoria (a lawyer) said he alternated between the four agencies in town every week, and had been doing so for years. When I mentioned Perb, he thought I was calling him a perv.

So, all this aside, I have been a contributing member of this site since joining in December. In the five months I lived in this city (mid Oct. to the end of March) I saw at least 40 SP's and reviewed around 30 of them. Since I only discovered Perb at the end of December, that's 30 reviews in three months, and quite a few were TOFT's. Something tells me these would have been just slightly more appreciated had they been done in Vancouver (my previous home). I didn't need to put in all that time and effort to write mainly lengthy reviews, but I did. And when I wasn't making such posts, I was answering queries and providing insight. Ok, being self-employed and not really needing to work certainly helped. I should not have made those posts as GQ1 and have not used that handle since getting the PM from the mod. I sometimes felt I should hide my reviewing handle to make certain posts. Completely wrong. But how many times has one seen only a few posts from a handle, never to be heard from again. Are you telling me those users don't have another main handle? If I end up getting banned, so be it. If not, I will continue to provide insight for Victoria when I can and reviews if/when I return to that city. I'm hoping the reviews I wrote helped those ladies get more business, and that was the whole point. I was always a model client in every way - one SP called me "an absolute sweetheart." After visiting relatives overseas I might move to Edmonton later in the summer, or possibly Toronto, my hometown - the beauty of being unattached.

Welcome back from your time out. Your explanation is fine, but sorry, 11 handles is simply way out of line and the timeout given was completely consistent with how the board is moderated. Stick to your current handle and you won't hear from the mods again.

I have dealt with trolls since I ran my bbs back in the 90s and ran a adult mirc chat channel called Vancouver funzone in the late 90s, only one way to beat every troll....say nothing...they flame out and move on

SDK- I stuck up for you in the past, and for the right reasons.
However, using different handles really pisses me off. Saying that you needed to hide your reviewing handle in order to make other posts/comments to unrelated threads is just plain off-side. Too fucking bad what others may think.
Pretty much just casts you in a two-faced light and reduces your credibility.
Because you suspect others of using multiple handles doesn't make it right.
Call a spade a spade as you see fit, or don't add to a thread at all if you don't want it tagged to you.
And keep up the thoughtful offerings- AFAIC you've contributed a lot more to the community in terms of reviews and intel than many others- including longer serving members- that do nothing but relentlessly troll, 411, lurk, leech, babble and put F-all of any consequence on the table for the rest of us. :)

The mod can probably agree with me on this one that I've had more accounts banned from one single address in a month than most do in a year. That being said, sure has been a fun month hasn't it, 27 accounts later. Whip me PerbMod :whip:

Well let's see. You got banned in the first place for completely misogynistic and downright insulting posts about women. You have created such classy accounts as 50ydcuntpunt, white_power, Iwhipfatkidz, catslaughter and the list goes on. Every time you set up a new account, you jump right in with trolling, insulting women, in general being the worst kind of pig that ladies see on review boards. You are either 14 or 15, or possibly just a complete idiot. You define fun a lot differently than most and at this point, I think almost everyone would agree you are just pathetic.

When I used to mod forums about a decade ago, I gave up blocking troll user accounts and started IP blocking - perhaps that's an option?
