Not too far
Ever since I became sexually active (and that was 20+ years ago) I have always experienced pain in the pelvic area if I have a long foreplay while being very aroused at the same time (more than 40-50 minutes).

If I have no intercourse at all, the pain can start even after 20 minutes of sexual play with strong arousal. Having intercourse after that - even without ejaculation - seems to alleviate the problem to some extent. The pain goes away after a few hours and aspirin or advil seems to help.

Physiologically speaking, the pain seem to be caused by the epididymis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epididymis) pressing on the testicles (?) which become very swollen at that time.

Anybody experiencing similar symptoms?
Is there anything I should be worried about or is this normal?

Hi addicted 2lov

It is very difficult to diagnose conditions over the internet, but I can give some suggestions on what you may be experiencing.

I am wondering if you could be experiencing blue balls, as the pain is in your pelvic area and only happens after being very aroused for some time.

Blue balls are a very common condition that most men have experienced at one time or another. They believe that it is caused by a build up of pressure which happens when there is more blood coming into the genital area than going out.

I have found a good article about Blue balls
http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/cgi/content/full/106/4/843

The treatment for blue balls is sexual release, either from masturbation or sex. The doctors in the above article also mention that “straining to move a very heavy object” may work, but it doesn’t sound like they have tested it.

Most often this pain is caused by “blue balls” which are related to sexual arousal. However pain in the balls, which is not associated with sexual arousal, could also be related to some other medical conditions that should be investigated. These include:

• Testicular torsion: twisted balls
• Epididymitis: infection of the tubes above the balls,

Given the above information I would suggest a trip to the doctor. They would be able to give you an exam to make sure everything is fine.
