What can I say about them?
I know they work on commission and I think most of them are a bunch of Dog F******s working there or at least what they consider working.
On time I asked about volleyball kneepads and them he puts on his number on the pads to get his money. I think wtf?!! To me that hardly deserves any commission. He also said `I'll just put my number on so my boss sees that I was working.' I should have bought them but peel off his number.

One time at the Metro store I had no help but I did manage to buy a pair of runners and sandals. Don't know if the cashier gave comish to anyone? She did ask if any helped me?
And no don't recall if she's cute as it was about 3 yrs ago.

Liquor Store

Went into a Liquor Store last week, 5 minutes til closing and the dumb old bitch, behind the desk shouts..."Rob man the doors, man the doors." I am thinking...WTF...only myself and some old man in the store. So I decided at that point to purchase nothing and annoy them...started darting in and out of the aisles, then left. The 45 yr old, unskilled dork at the door eyed my waist as I walked out. Next time I will just knock over a bottle or two, then leave...:D ;)

Inflation has really gotten out of hand in B.C., but the worst part is that workers aren't getting paid a quarter of the inflation increase. As a result, customer service throughout the Lower Mainland has severely decreased. Workers at these retail stores just don't care, because their hourly wage barely covers lunch, gas, rent, and other costs. I laugh when I hear that B.C. has so much job growth and opportunity. Seriously, what a crock of sh*t! Just look at the jobs available, these companies have the nerve to pay $10-$14 hr but demand 3 interviews, a background check, no benefits, casual-to part-time and a degree all for ridiculously low pay. We all have that sense "yeah I know it is a job, so I still better do the best I can at it" but we have been pushed past the threshold in B.C. to "why do I even bother trying to do my best at this job when there is no room for growth nor does it barely cover my expenses. I'm worth way more than this!"

No biggie...I was thinking of buying beer, then changed my mind. Decided to spend the money on food, so I had no problem walking out. I found it comical darting in and out of the isles, acting weird, then leaving.:D ;)

Time for more schooling or a different career. You have these choices:

1. Get a better paying job
2. Work another job, but have no life
3. Work the same job, hope to move up and/or get an increase, and be cheap
4. Move out of Vancouver

Sadly I have quite a few friends that really should consider this, but would get furious if you mention it. Being stuck with a $10-14 an hour job would suck. I can't see how people do it. I have friends here that can barely pay for food and rent, very little extras. They can find the same job anywhere in Canada, and have a much higher standard of living in other places.
Buddy of mine in PEI, earns like $35,000 a year, wife with no job, and 3 kids, owns a nice house.
