I think this is a cause we should all be concerned about. I have been involved with the AIDS network since 1997 (in highschool) and I will again be walking in this year's walk.

As I am now working in a sex-related field I have decided that from now until the walk I am going to set aside 10% of my before expenses earnings and pledge it and after that I will donate 5% of my after expenses earnings to various related charities. I have never before been able to afford to donate like this and I am quite happy that I now can.

I know most SPs do a lot of donating to related causes and I would love to know what other organizations there are to be involved with which are related to this industry in some way (stds, drugs, violence against women, protecting children). These are the ones I know of:

- AIDS Network
- STD Clinic
- Sex Workers Alliance of Vancouver
- Kid Start

I've been involved with this in my city (NY) for a few year now. You don't realize what this event symbolized until you're walking and talking to the families of those who lost their lives to this. Glad you're involved with this and hope all is well! Let us know the turnout and how it went!

The greatest levels of contentment and self-satisfaction are experienced by those who have found a way to serve others. In addition to the joy that is created by helping others without expecting anything in return, it is a universal principle that you cannot help others without it coming back multiplied to yourself.

When you're efforts are focused on giving rather than getting, then you are going to eventually receive back more than you have given. Have a good one!
