The type of clientele craigslist attracts

i am not trying to offend anyone here but it seems that a lot of the ladies who advertise on craigs from edmonton and calgary are either scammers, money grubbers, fakes, ladies pretending to be independent while really representing agencies, or just low lifers.

i know there are some there who are legit and well reviewed here..taylor and jackie come to mind. before i would contact or try to meet anyone from craigs i would check here first to see if there is any history.

IMHO is a lady went to the trouble and expense to get her own domain name and website (www.suckartist.com comes to mind!) then you know they are serious and have invested in their business/career.

If they are on craigslist then the odds are not so good. The are either (a) travelling and maybe don't know about perb/caf to advertise or (b) know about it but could not or would not advertise on perb/caf for some reason or (c) 3rd Avenue scam artists.

That is not always true either...

I am not any of the above... but do most certainly have limited time to play, so therefore i find that craigs is a great place to advertise...

it comes down mostly i think to doing ur homework and using the search feature on the forums to make sure that ur getting the most vfm...

I agree with csm.
In Vancouver, CL is used by a wide variety of sps, for a wide variety of reasons, including the fact they are part-timers and therefore are not going to invest in websites and paid advertising on forums, although a number of them probably advertise in an appropriate paper: Georgia Straight, Buy&Sell, or Van Island papers. If she's new, it makes sense to use CL until her print ad appears or she decides if other paid advertising is going to pay off.
If you are unsure of a CL advertiser, find out if she advertises elsewhere (just ASK her). Print ads cost money and require verification (i.e. she must verify phone number, gender, etc) and you can be more assured of more legitimacy.
An sp would be crazy not to use CL, an unpaid advertising service which is available to any viewer at no cost to them.
Plus this is the #1 advertising the ever so popular AMPs use, so how else would you all find out about who's new and who's available at those locations?

Craigslist is one of many different advertising sites available to ladies. Yes as it is a free site you are going to get scams and lowlifes but you are going to get some real gems as well.

Craigslist is the perfect place to find college students or women who want to attract a just a few clientele to supplement their incomes. And it's great for a non-pro to advertise without too much effort and keep it confidential too. When I say non-pro I mean someone who limits their exposure to 2-5 men lets say.

In that respect I have found it to be an invaluable resource.

There sure are alot of gals now posting on CL compared to 1 year ago.

I never assumed advertising on Craigslist indicated any level of service or "class" of escort. I just thought that more established escorts had a more select and returning clientele and needed to advertise less, only doing so when they needed business.

I'd assume that Billionairess is a pretty top shelf escort given her price and looks, yet she advertises on CL incessantly. She must be in the top 5% most frequent posters on CL.

Really, is there a more effective way of advertising than Craigslist?

Your guys are lucky. CL Vancouver is a great resource for SPs.

Down here in so called "Freedom Land" CL gives you the same odds of getting scammed or busted by LE as playing Roulette. No one I know touches it in the U.S. we're very afraid.

I'm sure your US law enforcement will want to eventually have a say on the issue in our country just like they want to overstep the boundaries when it comes to regulation of drugs in our country too.

When I train girls on handling phone calls I always instruct them to say the following when a client is going into too much detail: "As you can imagine I get all kinds calling and sometimes they just jerk off to the conversation rather than actually paying for a session. Basic info should be all you need to make a decision. Would you like to book now or check your schedule and get back to me?"

I also never list a phone # on CL as there are more goofs than quality. In the past I have gotten good clients from CL but it is only one of several advertising methods I use.

Every kind of SP can advertise on CL without compromising quality. One of my better clients, a very wealthy one, came from CL.

I think, further to what Beautiful Anna has said, the style of the ad, what is included, etc, can help weed out that "dummy" caller and emailer. CL is used for so many things it would only be natural that newcomers are going to see and click on that erotic button. And there may be a possibly higher number of callers who really have never done this before, don't know anything about etiquette and what you will or can't discuss.

If you are a consistent advertiser on CL who answers her phone religiously and has the capacity to retain basic info and specific details regarding callers you will find that when compared to the clientele that calls other ads the bad ones outnumber the good ones. That doesn't mean that good guys don't read CL because like CLM, one or two of my favorites are from CL as well. I find the dudes who are phoning to time waste every morning and chronic private callers/non bookers generally phone off of a CL ad. I suspect that is because every perv who sits behind a desk at a computer all day has access to CL and nobody would suspect they have a big old boner and were messing with the escorts time by making fake appointments and calling over and over to ask the exact same questions thinking we don't recognize their voices and fake accents.

I can't think of any non-review forum or escort site for advertising that doesn't have the same waster of time results. Calls from print ads have the same good/bad calls, too. Are you saying that the sps shouldn't bother advertising anywhere else? That would be bad business. Especially since, for CL anyway, everyone else who uses it frequently (from sp to pooner) has had consistently good results?
It sounds like someone has an agenda, rather than an opinion.
