I'm looking for recommendations for a Sunday Brunch Buffet spot. My usual haunt is Griffin's at the Hotel Vancouver (which I love), but I'm looking to try something new and exciting.

I checked into the Cafe Pacifica (Pan Pacific), but their brunch is $50 per person! Seems like a lot of dough for breakfast. Anyone been there? Is it worth the money?

Any other recommendations? I'm looking for exceptional food and/or a unique and memorable atmosphere.

Brunch

Check out the Sunday Brunch at the Fairmont Airport Hotel. Couple people I know have been raving about it.

Pan Pacific is the Best

You only live once. They have a pretty good variety - sushi, dim sum, desert.

The Waterfront is okay and the Westin Bayshore is another option.

For something different - try O' Douls Restaurant on Robson.

4 Seasons !!!

The space formerly known as "Lounge" is their new signature resto. Sunday brunch - $45 - but as some one else opined - you only live once. The fare was pretty spectacular - and inovative. It was good enough for Diana (Krall), Elvis (no - the live one) and their twins the day I was there!

I didn't find so. I love weekend breakfasts/brunches, and try to find different places (not just buffets). The fare offered was indeed varied, but I found the preparation average, and not worth the extra dollars.

That said, for the extra loonies, it's worth it to try out. As I read once in a novel, from two diners in a restaurant: "What's good here?" "The view."

I just wouldn't bother again.

Cheers, and happy brunching,
Ghostwheel

I've heard good things about the new 4seasons restaurant as well altho imo big hotels are just stuffy & tired. (Griffins does make the most amazing hollandaise tho!) Having said that, a friend raved about a recent brunch at Diva at the Met. Personally, i like Provence for an upscale brunch, Elbow Room for sassy home cookin & Joe Fortes when i'm feeling cougarish.

The menu at Diva is pretty good. The service is the shits. The last time I was there was for lunch around Christmas. We ordered from a preset menu. It took almost an hour for the appetizers and by the time we finished the mains, we had been there for over an hour and half. We had to skip the desserts and coffee that we paid for.
