Saw Nickleback in Winnipeg last night and as much as I think Chad K
is an asshole I have to give them credit for a great show. He can work
the crowd into a frenzy and puts on quite the high energy show. Lots
of fire and lights - worth the money compared to some of the other crap that is out there.

just my .02 cents

I like to think of Nickelback as this generation's Loverboy - lame Canadian band with a derivative, radio-friendly, paint-by-numbers musical formula who are popular with people who are devoid of any musical taste.

yeah, like poison, or skid row, or warrant, or the london quireboys. being devoid of musical taste doesn't have anything to do with it. we all like a little junk food once and awhile, even when it comes to music. some more than others. it's like eating KFC. you try it once and awhile, if only, as a reminder as to why you don't eat the greasy shit.

It is easy to hate Nickelback but they write good songs and put on a good show. Plus they are pretty big in the USA so that means they are not just automatically shoved down our face because of Canadian Content such as other bands in the past.

I would say the crowd was at least 40 percent 30 year plus

They do appeal to a pretty wide age group and diverse demographics
It was like going to the EX and watching the varieties of life!

I can't resist.

They suck. I hate them. No talent losers. Lame musicians and even shittier composers.

Yeah they're great for the over 40 crowd, but even then there are better choices. Like the Foo Fighters. "In Your Honor" was a great album.

Bad taste in music knows no age limit, what with teenyboppers into their Britney Spears and middle-aged women into their Michael Buble.
