Has anyone dated anyone from their workplace and then turn sour? What was the experience like and how awkward was it?

One word: Don't

I think partners should spend some time away from each other. Imagine car pooling to the office, working side by side, having lunch together, car pooling back home...etc etc. Day in and day out, you always spend tons of time together. One needs space you know?

I know a colleague of mine that did just the same. Something went wrong and they couldn't get away from each other. Work had them sitting just a few cubicles over. They needed space to figure things out but they couldn't!

Never dip your pen in the company ink...nothing good ever comes from it; unless you are prepared to look for a new work environment.

What happens if you just meet at the office and just start dating? It's hard not to if both parties like each other.

been there done that. much like anything else in life both people have to be on the same page. you set the rules at the beginning but more likely than not the office romance starts out as lust not dating. sexual tension needs to be taken care of so do what you gotta do.

I agree it's not hard. But one should resist. There are plenty of fish in the ocean. Don't pick the ones that can make your work life miserable too. It might be fine and dandy at first. But if something bad happens, there's no space for you two to seperate because you work right along side of her! In my opinion, that's just a bad situation.

I guess it would be different if you worked at say, Home Depot. You're a paint guy in the warehouse and she's an office girl. You'd hardly see her. That's more than likely not as bad. However gossip will flow in the office and the warehouse. You two will get joked about. They'll think you get blow jobs when you take a couple more minutes in the washroom...lol

i know is easy to get confuse with that type of love.. it seam like it make both party to lazy to look for a outsider lova..

one is a good way to have a eye on your lova.
two. when you get to see that person often you get to understand the person better.. as human been we are all unique to get the chance to chat to someone else it could be harder because some might expected them to react like the insider party.. if you think you are strong to get a outsider party go for it :D

Yeah, as much as I lust after some of the woman at work, I certainly wouldnt want to see her that fucking much. Different building is ok, but close cubicles or heck even same floor is too close. That being said I can see why office romances are so easy to come by. You both usually dress formal, cant cuss out loud, behave, dont walk around with food on your teeth etc. You certainly look better than driving to the market for beer and donuts.

But there are some instances where an office romance has turned into some couples actually getting married as well I heard.

Dude, why are you asking us then? We're giving you feedback yet you want to hear something else. Stop looking for affirmation. If you're so sure about it working out, go for it!
